I assumed that J'onn intentionally didn't read Jeremiah's mind out of respect for their relationship and his situation. But I really wish they would define his powers better. More lazy writing.
It's my thought that Mehcad Brooks took this week to go to LA for some auditions. It's coming up on pilot season, and he'll be free to join another show soon.
I'd argue that with Kara and Mon-El previously having their personal discussions in DEO common areas, the fact that they're dating should come as a surprise to no one.
And one thing I noticed? Very little of the actual Van Helsing character.
I'm still mad at them for dumping Alphas. It was working out well, storywise, but SyFy was just too cheap to let it continue past season 2.
That's precisely what stopped me in my tracks. Most of these characters originated on the Blacklist, which I quit watching two years ago.
Better still.
Since we're talking about that well-cast crapfest Legends (We were, weren't we?), and bad accents, I remember an episode of that show featured Sean Bean affecting a laughably bad Texas accent. Some master agent he was.
I was tempted to watch a little of this, to see how wrong they would get it. Then I watched some of that Blacklist spin-off last week, and I realized that I don't care.
How about Van Helsing, though? I only made it through 20 minutes of that.
This was my punishment for complaining about the Tara episode, right?
Jordan Peele hits this one out of the park. The movie is really creepy and entertaining. That he was able to draw such humor and unease from seemingly casual interactions really displayed how smart and observant that he is.
Have a kid. My oldest son is 14 now, and as I try to shape his tastes in movies, he'll go see anything with me, whether I want him to, or not.
Wasn't there that movie Aniston did with Vince Vaughan, where people were straining to see whether her nipples were in the frame of that fake nude scene?
I saw a trailer for her new movie. Heigl plays a possibly psychotic ex-wife tormenting her former husband's current wife, played by Rosario Dawson.
No big loss. I feel sorry for Laverne Cox, though.
Is there a movie so far this year that I've looked forward to as much as this one?
After Brian Tyree Henry showed up on This Is Us this week, I am glad to see my Atlanta guys blowing up.
I do take pleasure in watching these worms get called out, and watching them squirm on the hook. And hearing that some have been instructed to avoid these confrontations entirely, "for their own safety," is simultaneously galling and hilarious.
