That’s the thing, none of what happened since the end of Season 5 here sounds like Game of Thrones.

I did mean the show has lost steam after this episode. as this was what the show has been building towards for at least two seasons. To the point I feel that unless they can wring another miracle out of this series what comes after this will feel like an afterthought.

Oh certainly. But they did dedicate the back end of S6 and all of S7 to this battle to the point the whole Game of Thrones aspect of the series took a backseat and just doesn’t carry nearly as much weight as it once did.

Tell that to most of Season 6 and all of Season 7.

I guess the show has lost a lot of steam with how anticlimactic the end of the battle ended up being and most deaths were entirely gratuitous, with Cersei as the next Big Bad feeling like a step down...

I don’t personally care for the first and third Captain America films and would have placed GoTG Vol. 2 higher despite the presence of Chris Pratt but otherwise this is a pretty solid list.

It looked incredible, and I loved how it was both an homage and an upgrade to Catelyn’s S1 and S2 looks. I’m just about ready to get one made for myself to wear when running errands.

Thankfully it’s not a hot take anymore but I thought Black Panther was pretty much carried by the women and the male secondary characters, especially Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and Winston Duke. Actually by the end of it I thought Okoye and Shuri had made better cases for themselves as Avengers than the titular

I hope she steals the dragons’ faces.

Agreed. I was very critical of her and Kit’s acting ability last week and while my point on Kit stands, with Emilia it’s more of a byproduct of fluctuating writing quality and general lack of consistency in her character.

Major props to Sophie Turner in this episode, she’s really the closest we’re gonna get to Lady Stoneheart and I’m all for it. I’m really happy they’re showing just how much she’s learned from her stay in King’s Landing, and even happier that she didn’t for a second let Jon’s aunt’s spiel make her lower her guard.

I would agree 100% on that in earlier seasons, but since the show left the books behind the gap between these two versions of Dany has been mostly closed. Hell, I don’t think I’ve seen “real Dany” in a while. She’s been very static in “queen” version since season 5, and I don’t think her relationship with Jon seems

But that just exacerbates the issue, doesn’t it? That Arya was able to carry two reintroduction scenes with three characters who quite frankly didn’t have nearly as deep of a relationship with her as Dany and Jon allegedly have with one another and haven’t had a scene with her in years while Kit and Emilia struggle to

That’s a generous appraisal of their relationship. I don’t think it’s byproduct of the incest at all, it’s mostly a byproduct of how rushed and poorly conceived it was as an excuse to bring the two characters together while preserving their somewhat equal standing. And the worst part of it all is that the writers are

Season 2 was where it started to go a little too off the rails for me but this season is blowing it out of the water in terms of sheer insanity. And it’s not even good.

As someone who was iffy about The Good Fight going into a third season after what in my opinion was a middling Season 2, I’m glad to see the show so close to firing on all cylinders again.

The absence of female characters is idiotic. I can understand One Piece lacking Nami or Robin because honestly even Oda forgets they’re fighters most of the time, but in spite of Kishimoto’s utter lack of decency writing female characters there are so many to pick from Naruto it’s dumb we got Lee, Boruto, and Kaguya

I agree with every single word of this review, but I clearly liked the episode more than you did, Kate.

Since you mentioned my most loathed parcel of society I’d like to recommend some two youtubers who tend to thoroughly tackle these people and their excuse of ideas: ContraPoints and HBomberguy.

I feel I’ve watched a different episode than the one that was reviewed here. I thought this was terrible, and the point where Ru finally decided to jump all the sharks.
