Which Deus Ex left a lot to be desired? Just asking because there are five four games in the series.

What in hell was that. Is it really like Witcher 3 and BoTW in that if you’re not totally drooling over this game you’re being the worst person ever? What the fuck is going on with discourse?

I’m done. Now people can be described as spoiled brats for having preferences as to where they’ll spend their money.

Wow there’s at least 10 ways this comment of yours was offputing but okay.

Isn’t Oceans’s 8 almost exactly identical in terms of tone, content, setting, and premise? If so, why shouldn’t it be allowed to use a similar name to its four predecessors so the audience knows what they’re in for?

Oh I totally agree. But I still believe these movies get the kind of immense hate campaigns that make it hard to separate the two. At this point it sounds like I’m making excuses for their behavior as well but I swear it’s mostly because of my tendency to give newer writers a wide berth. I know I was very tendentious

Yes it would, apparently it’s called Entourage. Your point?

That... wasn’t my point at all. In fact I’m also inclined to say fuck them.

I was right there with you until you went with “ghettoization” as a term.

I had a full discussion with someone on reddit yesterday about their issues with the movie only to have said commenter fully admit not having seen Ocean’s 8 about 7 replies in.

I think being dismissive of remakes with different casting is in itself a problem. We’ve had quite a few remakes these last few years, not all of them good but it seems that gender-flipping the cast is the one surefire way to guarantee a dismissive and vitriolic attitude towards these movies.

If this one doesn’t have playable D. Gray-Man characters or Bleach characters not named Ichigo I’m not buying it at all. Praying it does.

I guess that’s partly why I loved it. As a kid I got The Golden Compass from an aunt who said I’d love it because she saw me reading Narnia once, but I pretty much loathed that book back then. I was less than enthused as I found the story never going where I wanted it to go, and the universe never really feeling

1. Fucking where

People are saying The Vixen just blows things out of proportion for no reason and I don’t see that at all... at least partially.

The original two did just fine. This really isn’t a cultural thing, just a matter of actual competence and understanding of both the genre and the source material.

Duodecim was more balanced than this pile of garbage and the entire meta revolved around two characters for the most part.

Trying to get the game closer to the ideal of a competitive fighting game was a mistake in the first place. Dissidia worked because it was basically an Action RPG and the 1 v 1 battles on it were more methodical, more long-winded mind games. If anything it was closer to Pokémon than an actual fighting game.

As someone who has legitimately spent more time on Duodecim that any other game really (I think it’s well over 400 hours by now) I have to agree with you as much as it pains me to do so.

This list is missing a healthy dose of Nier: Automata but the amount and breadth covered is indeed impressive.
