I would think kids would by more Lego sets if the stores had Legos laying on the ground and the kids would see their hilarious parent's faces when their parents stepped on them. The kids would be more inclined to want the toys with the various languages spoken by their parents.

Apple had a special press conference because they wanted to confirm the problem, not hide like MS did with 2 iterations of software. MS never had one press conference..... not one.
