They’re both good shows. One just did better in the ratings. Honestly, I don’t see the hate for Fox on this; they promoted Mindy Project quite well over the years, gave it three seasons and the ratings just weren’t there.

Lots of worthy shows (and, for me, Mindy’s show ISN’T one of them) got and get cancelled because of ratings. She’s had enough seasons to prove herself and it didn’t work out. Make way for someone else to try.

You can discuss whether it’s stupid or poorly acted, which it is. But leaping into a “HOLY SHIT THIS IS HORRIBLE, THE CAVS LOVE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!” or even “This is problematic and further entrenches the patriarchy or whatever” is just insane. I mean it’s actually and truthfully insane.

So basically... we know it’s harmless and not really endorsing domestic violence at all... but let’s put up this post so we can a) get hits and b) make ourselves feel good by folding our arms about how this is “questionable.”
