It’s already happened. In the US and the U.K., women have already been assaulted and raped by trans identified males placed in women’s facilities. And as I’m sure you are aware, incarcerated women are themselves a vulnerable population and are disproportionately black and low income.

This is very concerning. As someone who works with formerly incarcerated women, I am very concerned for the safety and wellbeing of female inmates, the majority of whom are trauma survivors.
