I’m based out of Sweden right now, and the “Swedish model” (ie criminalizing the buying of sex but not the selling of sex) has a had a lot of nasty fallout for the sex workers involved, and stigma has actually gotten worse. Even worse is that it’s touted as a success when there’s been little to no comparative research…

It’s not simple, especially when a lot of anti-traficking advocates mix traficking with sex work so that the two are indistinguishable.

I am a huge sci fi nerd, but never really did superhero comics. I loved season 1 of Heroes, I love the X Files, I loved Fringe, and I think Arrow and The Flash are amazing, but SHIELD is as dull as dishwater, just like Gotham. I don’t really care about anyone on either show.

Skyfall was a return to form for Bond songs, but I’ve never seen the Oscars award the best song. I mean, Elliott Smith lost to Celine Dion. Total farce.
