I’ve previously made my dislike of diamonds known here, but I discovered that my mom has my great grandmother’s gorgeous platinum diamond engagement ring. And it fits me.

I’m hoping for Control and Shaw to team up and shoot their way out.

There are some cool things about this song, like the hazy, slightly sinister synths, but nothing came together for me. I just didn’t feel it in my gut, y’know?

Those are fightin’ words! (I’m team Robyn all the way)

I really enjoyed this a lot, for a lot of the reasons that other commenters have mentioned so far.

Irkutsk is a beautiful little town (it’s quite close to Lake Baikal) and is worth several days on the Trans Siberian railroad to visit and wander the surrounding area.

I really think that’s true, depending on what your goals are. Sometimes talent just wants a passing grade so they keep their scholarship.

You must have me confused with someone else. I have never once used the word intellegence/intelligent. I have specifically been talking about people with high iqs the entire time.

You’re conflating a bunch of things here. “Educated,” “critical thinking” and “High IQ” do not come in the same box.

oh hey story of my life.

In fact, having a high IQ often shelters one from the awfulness of the world. It’s a privilege.

You mean “frum”? ;)

Leia is actually an old school Jewish name, it’s my mom’s Hebrew name. You could spell it Leya or Leja instead...

None, however Lost got two Best Supporting Actor wins (Michael Emerson who deserves all the awards and Terry O’Quinn) and at least one Best Actor nomination.

Tatiana would be amazing. But the odds are not good — I think the last woman in a Sci fi series to get an Emmy was Gillian Anderson 20 years ago.

My instant thought was mindful eating, and it turns out one of the members of the Center for Mindful Eating has written a book for diabetics! I think it focuses more on people with type 2 diabetes, but it might be worth looking into.

It’s different when people are like “Why would you leave?!?” because I’m originally from Brooklyn and they imagine I lived on the set of Girls. I’m from Bay Ridge and working class.

I don’t slag off the US of A to my fellow ‘murricans (because that way lies madness), but the young-ish Swedes I meet have this starry eyed view of America I have to crush on a regular basis. Like, they can’t even conceive that services and things they take for granted just don’t exist in large parts of the US, and

Actually, the exact opposite.
