Fortunately, my daughter calls several times a week and emails a couple of times a day.
We don't discuss news and politics for the most part — besides the weather. The few times I've slipped (beginning of the latest Israeli offensive and Ferguson) have been miserable clusterfucks. The problem is this stuff seeps into normal conversation. Like the thing about her friend's kid, or where she wants to go on…

I know, right?
it was me! It's replaced "cool story bro" when I just cannot deal with some bullshit.
I have a milwife/vet cousin who only posted to be angry at "rioters burning the flag" she risked her life protecting. Because that cheap made in China flad is more important than someone's life.
I feel more despair than rage honestly. I've been on the verge of tears all day.
