Lol. People say that about him all the time. They said it he was on Broadway and they said it when the movie came out last year.

There’s nothing particularly mean here (a rarity on Jez these days), just sadly pretty factual. Beanie was wrong for the role, and you can argue pretty persuasively that reviving Funny Girl was a bad idea from the outset.

I really don’t think Lea is going to save it.  She might briefly stave off a closing date, but

I teach an Intro to Film class and the required textbook is Looking at Movies by Dave Monahan and Richard Barsam. They discuss Juno extensively in the first chapter, so I have the class watch it for the first week’s film. For what it’s worth, I’d say Monahan and Barsam definitely believe the film puts its thumb on the

I think the movie does a good job showing how vulnerable you are being young and pregnant. Juno is taken advantage of and influenced by a lot of other peoples expectations on her body. I didn’t find it anti-choice, instead I think it did a good job of showing what a traumatic experience it is having so many others

Did Kaine ever vote against a judge because he thought they might uphold Roe?

Feldstein’s dad is an accountant, and her mom a costume designer. Now, being Jonah Hill’s sister likely opened some doors for her, but calling her a “nepotism baby” after 10+ years in the business (including, significantly, good reviews for the role of Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly in 2017) is probably unfair.

Britta Perry : I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at nepotism.

How would this supposed plan not run afoul of the Hyde Amendment? And even if it didn’t in what universe would it not immediately be tied up in the courts eventually finding its way to an obviously very hostile SCOTUS?

He’s a professional entertainer, and nobody is obliged to be entertained by him. People will be, which is why he currently has a career. Other people won’t be, which is why articles like this one exist.

Had Louis kept a low profile for a few years and then made a tentative, apologetic return to comedy, I guarantee all would have been forgiven and he would have become fairly big again.

He didn’t. He’s never actually apologized for what he did.

You’re asking the wrong question.

There’s no answer to that question. Some people will forgive CK, or at least be willing to give him money. Others won’t. He might have a successful career again or he might not. It’s not as if he’s entitled to one.

He's done nothing to indicate that his attitude, views, or behavior have changed. An apology without genuine repentance isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Sexual crimes shouldn’t have a statute of limitations.

And the REAL FUNNY part about that (and about Depp stans using it to further pretend they gaf about victims of IPV ) is that people didn’t believe Rihanna either! I distinctly recall a lot of chatter about her possibly hitting him too and about her fiery temper and about how she probably provoked him so that is RICH.

The thing you are missing is that Depp is the reason for that. The media onslaught that has been this trial wasn’t a happenstance. It was the last hit of an abuser that used the easily swayed court of public opinion to further his abuse and its working, brilliantly. This is exactly what he wanted.

It’s kind of nuts. No matter how terrible a person she is or isn’t, at this point, she and he have both admitted that he abused her. So even if she abused him too, it seems like the premise of his case has been shot to shit. But I guess they can’t just call it a day.

Thanks for writing this article. Every time you try to engage someone on the internet about how there are many grey areas in this situation they go on an obscene anti Heard rant. It’s so unnerving.

Ah yes, Amber Heard is responsible for the addiction issues of a grown man 20 years older than her who had a “Wino Forever” tattoo before they even got together.
