@Char Aznable: I am not blaming anyone for anything. I am simply informing people of what they are agreeing to, because most people don't take the time to read anything. And some people might be morally opposed, so they might want to know.

Kinect/Microsft are always watching. Waiting. Have you read your Terms of Service lately? Just a reminder that once in a while, it's a good thing to do, just to be informed. If you'd like to read a couple of snippets of the new ToS for MS, head on here:

@The Cap'n: Please read my reply to howunfortunate. Plus the things being talked about here are mechanics in general, whereas you are speaking of something that would most aptly be compared to sequels in games. Those keep you coming back for more by nature of being incomplete, which is more reasonable than keeping you

@Howunfortunate: No, I mean not designed to keep you hooked past their initial offerings. The equivalent would be feeling compelled to keep reading the same book over and over again because of some mechanism that awards you in some way, usually in a social/visual way, that provides the book publisher with a steady

It honest-to-god weirds me out that developers make games with addiction in mind. Designing to keep you coming back for more, using concepts from psychobabble to do it. And the reason it weirds me out is because no other medium does it (books, movies, etc). From a business perspective it's "obvious" because it keeps

@Char Aznable: Even if you dont play at all after changing it? I know I've toggled it but then toggled it back, without ever leaving the menu.

@MrGone1980: What is this bandage glitch you speak of?

@Hongo: Well, if you're thinking of playing competitively I think chances are, you're on an Xbox.

@The Forgetful Brain: You got it for signing up for the newsletter in a certain timeslot...also, I just remembered it's a staff, not a sword.

Seems like a disservice to show the trailer here and to forget to mention that the whole point of the trailer is to get people on the DA2 website *registering to receive the item in-game via the Bioware Social Network* Where is the link?

Here's some actual information in terms of what you're looking at.

@tim rogers: Yeah, I was more responding to what seemed to be your puzzlement as to how people could do this, the "fun stealers," and what this becomes when people are willing to pay to have the game played for them (unfun?)....

In the end I find the discussion of "how can that be fun" to be completely fucking useless. Like, the most useless conversation possible to have in regards to video games.

I was looking to buy BlackOps from Amazon because they were doing the 20 dollar coupon thing but looks like that doesn't exist anymore :(

I would think a game developer would intimately know the dance between realism and meaningful/enjoyable gameplay, and how they are usually not directly proportional to one another when accounting for 'fun' (whatever your definition of that word may be, or whatever type of fun we may be talking about—see Michael

There's not enough blue in this orange poster to make it a valid movie poster.

That's it?

@Chicken Pawks: There should be tomorrow, I believe. Generally the reviews have been positive (and when I say "generally" I mean I haven't read a single review that didn't gush over the game).

@Zoopy: TBH this game would be heaven on an old school dpad, but the sticks are no hindrance. You should have no issues.
