And, let's also note that EA has registered Dead Space Sabotage—which may be exactly what these press releases may be referring to.

@Weirdwolf: No one is making money in the music industry right now. Definitely not the record companies who manage the artists.
Eskintoro's comment would be hilarious if anyone in the music industry was making money right now.
Y'know, I'm not one to complain about piggybacking off something else's success: the industry can benefit from that sort of thing.
@Bryn: It might be because you don't have an actual EA account—go to EA.COM and see if you can log in with your info there, if you can't, then you don't have an EA account.
@Kanji08: Because it was posted. If you read something and it doesn't warrant a response, then perhaps it doesn't warrant posting?
@Kanji08: That's exactly the reason that people are freaking out: they want to know the logistics about this, but they don't. Being happy that something is being done is a response that is based on equally amorphous information, since neighter side knows what these actions will be.
@Zim: I was speaking generally—as in, I experience something which genuinely sucks, and so I leave. Spawn camping just happened to be the first thing that comes to mind.
@Communist Pope: Huh? If I leave a game because I'm getting spawn camped to hell and back, how is me getting a penalty a win-win for everyone?
Ragequitting makes a negative experience for everyone? How about people who ragequit because the entire experience was negative overall?
@VincentGrey: Funny thing is, Mario Puzo made the film to put down that lifestyle, not aggrandize it—he wanted to show people how bad it was.
I agree with your assessment on Fallout 3. The previous Fallout games had combat, but that wasn't the focus at all. Then again, back then the games were actually difficult and fighting just one super mutant would require a lot of resources and effort to kill. Now I can pop their heads off one by one in seconds.
@UsernameOfTheDead: I'm pretty sure they're not particularly heralded for that series. Have you played any Battlefields?
That quote was taken immensely out of context. He was asked what he'd consider to be a major hit, and he mentioned that what their games sold was no where near 'major hit' status—but that 10 million would be.
Well, I'm guessing that because of the jobs of the writers here at Kotaku...you guys don't spend nearly as much time playing as you do writing, working, and living life. Am I incorrect in assuming that?
@Kobun: Yeah...I'm not buying all the titles, just Limbo and this, but still, the quality of downloadable titles is so high right now, that I find myself excited for just as many DLC/XBLA titles as I do disc-based games.
Anyone else getting this on release date? It looks like it'll be quite fun, if not funny, too. I tell ya, the idea of corporate sponsorship filling in for upgrades and perks is genius, as well as genetical engineering for your ability to respawn.

@fuchikoma: Yeah, they'd get slammed for it but it would just be the status-quo as far as games go. They'd still have avoided the real bullet.
@fuchikoma: It's a cop out to excuse them for not retelling it as a female, because by not changing much it's -not actually a selling point.- Why would someone buy it?
