@remarK: No, I know, but it's still based on something which isn't true.

In-store, or online?

That Jwong vid versus Vangief is kinda hilarious to watch. I mean, i know it's all mindgames, but I also know that someone who doesn't know much about the metagame/high level play of SSF4 will watch that and go "WTF is this, twitch city?" Or hell, even think it's not much special, that they could do that. We all know

@fuchikoma: No, because 2.5 year olds don't drive cars. They do play video games. And it's a FACT that any kid born in the last gen, has been growing up with different interfaces. That's just plain fact. To think it's not doing SOMETHING, I think is naive. Anecdotal, yes, indicative of something at large, perhaps not,

Eh, I tend to feel that utter disconnect when using fingertips on my iPad, sure, but nothing NEARLY as bad as the disconnect I felt while playing RDR. The entire way through that game, I am so acutely aware of the fact that I am holding a controller and pressing buttons, and it's mostly because the screen depicts

@fuchikoma: Why is it a little quick to assume that? His point is that today's kids are growing up with these new controls. it's not some brash statement to say so, it's completely true.

Why would he understand it? Am I missing something here, I thought Apple wasn't involved in game development. If that's the case, logic would dictate that they don't know much about a process they're not involved with.

@Ossidiana: Mass Effect 2 is not a game without strategy. It's not old-school RPG strategy, to be sure but it requires strategy to play. Telling me the game is going to become more like ME2 in regards to that is not only speculation, but also incorrect: becoming like ME2 does not imply a lack of strategy.

@excaliburps: No they'd bitch about EVERYTHING. They'd bitch and moan and "threaten" to not buy the game for various idiotic reasons. Which, sounds like hasn't changed much.

I imagine this is as close as an Adventure Time game as I can possibly get, so I'll be downloading it sometime shortly.

@Ossidiana: We don't know what they mean by 'more action styled' and moreover, that doesn't neccesarily imply lack of strategy. Again, we don't really know much of anything in that regard.

@excaliburps: Naw, this is no different than how people behaved for the BC2 beta, and they still didn't nix future betas (that's why you're playing the MOH beta today!)

@Ossidiana: What did you write? That you were afraid of the end of the strategical RPG. What do we know is changing? Absolutely nothing that affects the STRATEGY of DA. Yes, we know that the character will be voiced, and that there will be a conversation wheel like ME, but we do not know a single thing that hints at

@Ossidiana: None of those things have anything to do with how STRATEGIC the game is. I thought we were talking combat, here.

@Jorge: I sincerely doubt that EA pushed for them to have bad graphics. In fact, following that line of thinking, I'd think that EA is a corporate conglomerate that only cares about money (hypothetically here, not what I think about EA), they'd want DA to have amazing visuals and the other stuff wouldn't matter as

@Shinryoma: whatever it was, it's a bigger game than ME is.

@paranoidmarv: No, I don't agree. They're not employing it because it was so "succesful" in ME, when DA has been the more succesful game. What they have seen, however, is that having a Shepard makes marketing easier, not to mention gives them more freedom to determine exactly what story they're telling, since they're

Interestingly I remember chatter a while back about some legislation that was trying to make its way into congress, which postulated that we'd need a SSN equivalent, only digital, for the internet, to get rid of anonymity. While I don't have a source to back that up, let's talk about hypotheticals here: is there a

@Desanvium: I personally had a fine, i'd say, great, even, experience on the consoles.

@Shinta: Yeah, but in the end, that's what it is: a buzzword. We don't really know what it means just yet.
