@paranoidmarv: Except what we've learned about DA following in the footsteps of ME has nothing to do with core gameplay mechanics. They've talked about why they took these changes—in VO and dialog choices. It's for characterization. I don't personally like it, but it's there for a reason, and that's not neccesarily

@Ossidiana: You're certainly not the only one that's making pretty brash assumptions based on small details of the game.

@PunkyChipsAhoy: ...almost every level has pretty big choices. Who do you let live, the werewolves or elves? Who takes the throne in Ozrammar? Who takes the throne of Ferelden? Who kills the dragon? Did you have a demon baby? Did you save Redcliffe? Who survived in the mages tower?

@Shinta: I know, but an expansion is probably not going to be used to determine whether or not a franchise should continue—the actual game will most likely be. That's why I said it.

@DocSeuss: "Sounds strange, but Dragon Age 2 begins while the final events of the first game are coming to a close, so there's cross-over there."

@The Sentient Meat: Well, when you play Mass Effect, some people say things about the "maker," so for all we know both games take place in the same dimension!

@Shinta: Dragon Age Origins has sold more than Mass Effect/2 has.

@PunkyChipsAhoy: Your character will not be transferred over, your choices will be.

@Shinta: A pretty harsh assumption considering that Awakenings greatly expanded on your abilities/spells...but you think that 2 will go retroactive and offer us less? They've gone on record saying they want to be more expansive in that area. Somehow, I don't think that equates to giving us two spells.

@smithy cat: Origins sold more than Mass Effect did. Of course, it had the benefit of being on more platforms. So no, there's no real reason for copying—in terms of selling more, anyway.

I posted all of this in tips hours ago...sigh.

@wirebrain: Well, after they posted the "This is Kotaku" article I think they made it clear that since Kotaku is a gamer's guide to everything, there is technically no such thing as "Off Topic."

@UERD: That's why I said rather ridiculous! :P

This is fantastic...but has anyone seen the rather ridiculous statements made by InfoWars regarding this game?

@Dannygeist: The darkspawn are supposed to reflect what creatures/species were used to create that specific darkspawn. That's why they look different.

@Manly McBeeferton: I posted them at my site and even tipped the images a few hours ago, you can click on the link in the tips hashtag and look at the images there.

@FLD: And, to prove other things—like the importing stuff. They've already gone on record saying that they wanted to include this:

@FLD: and just to back up what i've said—for example, people on the internet have been saying that the dialog wheel will be making its way into DA. It's unconfirmed, but I mean, you have people like Mary Kirby over at the DA forums—she's a writer for Bioware—revealing that that will be the case. There's dozens of

@FLD: My blog reported that, and, the source seems legit because a number of people around the internet are confirming it on the DA2 forums. And, in the DA2 forums, the people at Bioware are pretty active and regularly correct people on things regarding DA2, and so far, there has been no interjection from the writers
