Yeah, that was 'Power Hungry'. It was a weak episode by Fringe standards, but if it was in Almost Human, it would be the strongest episode in the series to date. Thus far, all the cases in Almost Human have been abysmal to mediocre.

Fringe S1 and S2 were excellent, unlike Almost Human which has been a complete disaster. You must live in an alternate universe where Michael Bay films are better than The Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather.
I would totally watch Anna Torv watching herself watch paint dry. But Almost Human? It's just too tedious to watch.
I don't think I can think of a single episode of Almost Human that is remotely as good as Fringe's worst episode.
I don't really think that's a good comparison though. Fringe S1 had 20 episodes and was ~50% serialized. Almost Human was only 13 episodes and has been ~15% serialized.
Exactly. Fringe had 20 episodes and used 9-10 episodes to establish a very strong narrative. Almost Human had 13 episodes and used only 2 episodes to develop an arc. AH looks incredibly weak next Fringe, which developed a fascinating muti-layed story with its freshman season.
But the Fringe S1 cases were fun. Fringey stories were hard sci-fi, creepy, and you could tell Anna Torv, John Noble, and Josh Jackson were having a blast with their roles. Fringe actually used its first season to lay out an intriguing world full of Observers, glyphs, ZFT, Massive Dynamic, alternate universes, and a…
Huh? Almost Human S1 has been awful compared to Sleepy Hollow S1, and doesn't even come within a mile of the brilliance of Fringe S1. Almost Human had 2 decent episodes this season, the Pilot and Unbound.
I was wondering about this myself. Considering how dangerous some of this tech is, the cops and citizens seem pretty nonchalant, and there's never a technological solution for random problems where it doesn't fit the weekly plot device.
Bad Robot's "Revolution" is extremely serialized. It just sucks.
Haha, I like this guy.
Sleepy Hollow Season 1 has been done. ;-) The S1 finale aired January 20th. S2 starts in the Fall, I believe.
Fringe is one of my all time favorites. Almost Human isn't anywhere in the same league as Fringe. Sleepy Hollow is far more worth your time if you haven't seen it. It actually has a coherent plot, and John Noble is in it.
Bingo. This is the first series I've seen which is literally not about it's own premise.
Exactly. The Fringe cases ROCKED. Fringey stories were hard sci-fi, unique, creepy, fun, and you could tell Anna Torv, John Noble, and Josh Jackson were having a blast and pouring their soul into the series. Apparently lightning doesn't strike twice. :(
Naren Shankar's ("CSI") departure from AH was announced back in September of 2013. His departure seems to have made the series even more procedural. Go figure.
"I'm not entirely against procedurals or a procedural-element, but this
show is some supremely bad Law and Order in execution and philosophy"
Upvoted you just for your name, Faux.
1) Thus far, only 2 out of 11 episodes have had any real sense of continuity: Pilot and Unbound. The other 9 were self-contained "been-there-done-that" CSI style stories.
I'm not sure what to make of this series. It feels like the writers don't even understand the premise of their own show. Granted, this is mostly due to the episodes airing out of order. But if the episodes actually had aired in the proper order, it would still be obvious that 80% of the first season was written as…
