I don't think Piscatella's death was really meant to be about him, I assume its to show that this riot team is not a 'crack team' but underskilled and potentially dangerous.

My fear is the last episode will see her freed. I understand why they'd do that from a thematic point of view, but it would undo the fact they've built it to be about much more than just her.
That's a fair point. I guess she could have found out early on and then found closure in the Michael letter, but with those two plots, her parents' marriage, Rafael/Petra and Darci it would have left little breathing room.
Master of None playing Vengabus?
Given the episode was about Jane finding optimism I can see that confronting Rose would make it unbalanced, but hopefully it's forthcoming.
I'm not particularly sold one way or the other on the theory, but in terms of the accent I just think "well, look at who Gossip Girl was". It could be an accent for effect, not the real voice
Well the teacher literally getting nailed to death was amusingly on the nose.
I was thinking during the episode, and its something kind of touched on near the end of this recap, is Luisa in an abusive relationship with Rose?
This is one of those episodes that reminded me how great Yael is. It's just something that occasionally hits me and I think it was a combination of her usual comedy chops and that moment when Raf tells her he's fine (I can't even remember what she said but it was a great delivery).
They could do a Gossip Girl and have the voice be a representation of a character (or characterisation) rather than be the voice of the person.
Maybe Mateo popped round Ted Mosby's house a few too many times.
I think what they're trying to do is make him the "get back on the horse" person but more than just meaningless sex. They can hold a conversation and seem to genuinely like each other, but not in any deep way.
Yeah I can't help but think the narrator intentionally skipping her first love was a sign we're going to meet someone more important soon and for now we have this guy.
Which, if it happened, meant she slept with both of her ex-husband's children…
Just ask them for water.
The beard will be the most heinous murder at the Marbella.
Yeah I just read the TVL article. I think showing the grief in this way gives a good opportunity to show a different, potentially more nuanced, portrayal of grief. It is still clearly impacting her and will continue to impact her and I think that has the potential to show grief in a different way from just having…
I like the idea of their lives being so different and the eventual impact on Alba… But at this rate if they are a crime family I expect Mateo to actually be Rose
Without wanting to quote Grease… It's in the kiss.
Maybe it comes down to the practicality of having so many babies on set?
