I’m so glad you like it! I like to download the episodes and listen to them during my daily commute. Judging by what other commenters have said, it looks like there are dozens of other scary podcasts out there that are worth checking out. I think I’m going to listen to Spooked next. It seems like a popular one. Happy

Agreed. Any decent adult should know better than to tell a stranger to “get in my van.” This one time, I was at the store and had some extra change on me. On my way out, I saw a couple kids looking forlornly at the gumball machine. So, being in a generous mood, I decide to offer them my change so they can use it in

Awww! Well I’m glad I’m not the only one who has experienced something like this. It makes me feel less crazy. I hope that experience was as comforting to you as it was for me.

I recommend checking out two movies on this topic: “Convergence” and “Plus 1". They have almost the exact same plot with some variations in detail and outcome. Of the two, “Convergence” is my favorite. Because of these movies, I now have a rule that if I ever encounter my doppelganger, I will be nice and try to work

    Here it is!

Lore Podcast did a story once about a woman who had a doppleganger that would appear nearby at various times and then just vanish.

That is bizarre. I’ve heard stories about ghosts imitating the appearance of the living. That’s what came to my mind when reading your story.

My grandmother passed away after a long battle with dementia. I was folding laundry at home when my mom called to give me the bad news. Afterward, I was putting away clothes in my daughter’s room, crying and thinking about my grandma, when I smelled her perfume. It was Channel No. 5, her signature scent. It lingered

I’ve heard about that. The trailer looks good, but I don’t have Amazon Prime. Do you think it’d be worth it?

Yes. But at the same time, seeing these motherfuckers fall feels really good. It feels like, “YES! We’ve got them on the run! Keep going! Who’s next?” When one victim speaks up, that makes it easier for others to come forward. I want serial predators like Cosby and Weinstein to know that they can’t get away with this

LNM is stories from the Lets not Meet subreddit about encounters with weird/creepy people. Its a simple concept but very well executed. Each episode is about 30 minutes and includes 3 stories tied together by a theme. However, the creator has done a couple of special episodes including an old-timey radio play. Also,

Let’s not meet is just as creepy as Lore but uses very different source material. Where Lore is highly researched, LNM is just stories from the Lets Not Meet subreddit. That doesn’t sound impressive, but the music is awesome and it’s surprisingly scary. Also, none of the stories on LNM are paranormal since they’re all

I have a story, but it’s not mine. It comes from my mom who heard it from her older sister when she was young. I have no idea if it is true. It could just be a story made up by a teenager trying to spook her younger sister. There’s one detail of the story that does ring true though, and that’s the location: Purple

I have no personal stories to contribute unfortunately. :( But lately I’ve been getting my scary story fix by listening to scary podcasts. My current favorites are Lore and Lets Not Meet. Anyone else have a horror podcast they would recommend?

Oh hell. You don’t have to be powerful or rich to get away with sexual assault and harassment. From what I hear, nameless dudes masturbate on the subway all the time and no one does a damn thing to stop them.

Am I the only one put-off by Nelly calling himself a “victim”? Because I really think that word should be reserved for people who have experienced assault or actual suffering of some kind. Like let’s say hypothetically that the accusation is false and he’s totally innocent. Okay, I get how being accused of something

I wouldn’t call this a “win” because there is no competition. Or if there is, it’s a shitty competition where nobody wins, especially women. Don Jr. celebrating some sort of moral victory is actually kind of gross. He doesn’t care about victims of sexual harassment or rape culture. We know he doesn’t because he’s

Ps- I’m not saying the writer shouldn’t rat him out. the wife totally has a right to know. It’s just that she may not be able to do anything with that information.

Other possible outcome: Wife doesn’t know, but can’t leave husband because of kid, finances, lack of support. Maybe tries to salvage what’s left of marriage, which ain’t much. So now she knows her husband is a cheating bastard but is powerless to do anything about it. Spends next 25 years in alternating denial and

You shouldn’t refer to a woman as “a female” for the same reason you shouldn’t call an Asian person “oriental.” A rug is oriental; a person is Asian. A dog is female; a person is a woman.
