One of the people quoted in the article mentioned that the verdict was the result of “prejudice” on the part of the judge and prosecutor, which makes me think that race, class, or other identifier was a factor here.

The unnamed reporter, apparently desperate to simply do her job, “ripped out pages from her notebook and stuffed them into her dress’s shoulder openings to create sleeves,” CBS reports.

If those men touched you in a violent or sexual manner without your permission, then according to the law it is assault, even if they were drunk at the time. Being intoxicated is not usually an acceptable defense in a criminal case.

It says a lot about a person when they just can’t help but shit all over someone else’s success.

    NEVER ROB AND SHOOT PEOPLE!

I.... don’t know if I agree with that. I think he’s just as petty and vicious as he’s always been. He’s been calling Rosie O’Donnell “fat,” “pig,” and “loser” since 2007. The only difference between then and now is that then he was a businessman and reality TV show hack, so nobody gave a shit what he said, and now

This is just the first time his wrath has been directed at them. They were perfectly fine with him bashing Rosie O’Donnell, beauty queens, President Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc. Now they’re on his bad side. Now it’s “real.”

“I felt victimized by the fact that others were judging me through conflicting and unsubstantiated reports,...”

It’s the religion of prosperity, the belief that if you are “good” in the eyes of God, then you will be rewarded physically and financially. Any illness or misfortune that seems to contradict this can be explained away as “the will of God.”

Damn. I was really hoping it was “Rah-rah ah-ah-ah, ro-mah ro-mah-mah, Gaga oh-la-la, want your bad romance.”

Is it more funny or sad that this is clearly a joke?

To paraphrase Rep Chaffez’s own words, Jason Chaffez has choices. And he’s got to make a choice. So maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that he just loves and he wants to go spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe the should invest that in housing. He’s got to make those decisions himself.

Someone simply existing on your property does not give you the right to assault them, especially if they’re an injured kid. If you see a stranger in your yard and are suspicious that they may be up to no-good, a reasonable response is to 1) make your presence known, 2) ask them what they’re doing, 3) ask them politely

My what fragile, easily triggered snowflakes.

Agreed. I get it now. Thank you!

Aha. Okay, I see that now. I thought they were implying that Corinne made the “charge of misconduct,” but I get what they’re saying now. The modifiers in that sentence are a bit confusing. Thanks for the clarification.

“...the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member”

May I just add here that I cannot STAND people who think it’s fun to “stir the pot” and deliberately mess with people just to get a reaction out of them. That’s not clever or cute. It’s like something a sociopath would do.
