All conversation around these topics are incredibly toxic. There’s an argument to be made that Rape Shield should apply to all parties involved until a conviction or if the accused isn’t cooperating with the investigation. Otherwise we all end up in narratives of “believe all women” or “innocent until proven guilty”.

What if the assault didn’t happen at the gym and you just happened to goto the same gym? Would you expect the gym to void their contract? What if you both lived in the same apartment complex? Would you expect them to kick him out based on allegations?

It’s really a fairly silly idea that Universities have an sort of discipline system for actions between students. Like do they judge over fights? It’s a throw back to high school and elementary principal offices. I strongly agree with whomever mentioned that these offices should help and coach survivors to report to

I think the problem with all of this is when the “unelected justices” do what you want, the Supreme Court is a foundational good for the world. The conservatives of the 70's had the same complaints when Roe was enacted as the commenters here now that it’s overturned. They talked about stacking the court, changing

There is a desire to equate being trans with being gay - which is dangerous and false. Being trans is a reaction to a medical condition, gender dysmorphia, that has very high risk for other mental health risks - including suicide. I can’t think of another health condition where a parent wouldn’t be informed. I can’t

The other officer was at the side of the vehicle which implies they had guns drawn and were ordering her out of the car. Instead of complying she began to flee while an officer had a gun pointed at her creating the possibility of a high speed chase or at least erratic driving. It’s reasonable to shoot in this

so if the person is willing to run over a cop do you think they’re then going to obey traffic laws calmly on the way home. Now they’re driving erratically on the road putting more lives at risk. Based on what’s written here this seems completely reasonable.

Another billionaire right wing hack... you’re promoting his narrative. He’s not close to a billy. Dude probably has $4m... if that.

Every trans athlete admits that being born in a male body is an athletic advantage. So tell me you don’t know how to read while just parroting Trans talking points. You just throw out insults acting like you’re on the higher moral ground when in reality you just hate women and disrespect all that they try to

The idea that Planned Parenthood wouldn’t have standing is absolutely ludicrous. 303 Creative had standing even though no gay couples solicited their services because the owner didn’t know if they could start their business with this being a possibility. Any woman has standing because they don’t know if they can have

No chance this fight happens. None. If it did, Zuck would tap him in under 3 minutes with an armbar or a choke.

No comment on the second peer-reviewed article? The one that led to a national change in policy in the UK?

My general position is that the research into the effectiveness of Gender Affirming Care is relatively weak - weak to the point that the authors of the original research admit that the methods proving this are flawed:

Claiming victimhood because someone wrote an article disagreeing with whether your participation in sport is fair might be the lowest of low bars.

We handwring because it factually doesn’t work at the scale its being implemented. The vast amount of children experiencing gender dysphoria are just gay kids coming to term with their sexuality. The movement for “Gender Affirming Care” ends up overtreating these children and leading them down medical paths which are

Look I fully acknowledge that I am not the all knowing master of gender affirming care. Honestly, that anyone is an expert in gender dysphoria is pretty much bullshit. I think GD kids would be better served if we all admitted that we don’t fully know and that we’re trying our best - not saying this way or that way.

and temporary use doesn’t drastically increase the likelihood of osteoporosis? Was that one of the reason that medical boards in Europe moved to limit it’s use in children?

Do they not drastically increase the likelihood of osteoporosis? This is non-reversible.

Everyone in the comments mentioning that “Puberty Blockers are reverseable” act like when you stop taking them it’s like “oh wow it’s all the same.” There are long term side effects that will impact children for their entire lives if they decide to stop. The best example is osteoporosis which was found in 80% of girls

I like how you view this a blaming the victim as if the implication is that all trans people, by definition, are victims. That there mere existence implies they are victims which of course, would make you by defending them, the hero.
