Here is a Youtube video of the car (pulling in):
I owned a 2015 GTI 4 door S and it was nearly perfect. Although the first time the passenger side power window failed I was reminded that it was a risky buy for somebody like myself who would be out of warranty after 18 months of highway driving. There’s that.
How bad is the rev hang? Video proof? I’ve read its a nightmare on the 2015.
Long term repair record.
This is beyond a disingenuous comment.
Lewis Hamilton, in one of the best cars, only managed to qualify 13th at Monaco and was beaten by the likes of Renault, Haas and Toro Rosso. What does that say about him as a driver?

I work in the industry and a few years back was tasked with creating a database of how to remove the covers because of employees breaking them and also because they were impacting retail over the counter battery sales - customers couldnt see the battery underhood and were taking them to the dealer for replacement. It…
The actual reason is for NVH. There is typically a bunch of sound deadening material under them. Sometimes they even cover mass dampers.
