Who gets the most screen time? I bet its Ironman.

You mean like the Lorax movie?

No.

“The original animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ of How The Grinch Stole Christmasis pretty good...”

That little “doing mean things” montage in the stores looked like Despicable Me: Grinch Edition.

This raises multiple questions. Why is he putting on pants that are basically like he skinned a different grinch to put over his already grinch-y legs? Are people in the town just totally cool with him walking around their town? Isn’t he supposed to be some kind of hermit cause he hates everyone so much and only

If I ever met Pacino, I’d ask him about Cazale.

If I am not mistaken, every movie he was in was nominated for Best Picture.

You should check out Stand Up Guys, which he did with Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin. It’s a pretty dark comedy where Pacino gets to do some quality scenery chewing.

It’s not a comedy, but “Scarecrow” (with Pacino and Hackman) has its funny moments, and Pacino is a sort of free-spirited figure who is by turns sentimental, free-wheeling, sarcastic, and tortured. Hackman plays the straight man to his antics and it works.

He was amazing in Scrubs. If you want to see someone be hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time, then watch his episodes.

The obligatory back-story story about this interview is that I actually did about half of it a few years ago, and I was finally able to get enough to turn it into a piece worth running (because, you know, my standards are unreasonably high) when I got her on the phone a few weeks ago, but the interview was supposed to

I’m reading The Hate U Give. I know it’s considered YA, but I chose it partly because I heard it was good (and is becoming a movie) and partly because I wondered if it’s appropriate for my daughter. (Still undecided as she is only 12.)

Hari’s “Lost Connections: Uncovering the Real Causes of Depression...” So far (50% in) it’s not shocking me, but it’s doing a great job of knitting together disparate threads of research. I’ll be back later with the cure!!

Just started “Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America,” and it’s surprisingly good. The first few chapters cover the formation of Nintendo of America, the creation of the Donkey Kong arcade game, some of the lawsuits Nintendo faced in its early days (Universal sued over Donkey Kong, claiming that it was a ripoff
