Bonham Carter is a GREAT choice to be an older version of Vanessa Kirby....solid casting there.

She was tweeting four hours before she died. Entertaining to the end.

Yes. I used to run around the coffee table when the credits were playing and then fall over when Dick van Dyke did (although he didn’t always). It is still a sophisticated and urbane comedy.

Watching reruns of the Dick Van Dyke show growing up there always seemed to be a lot said about how progressive Mary Tyler Moore’s character was on the show (i.e. her getting to wear Capris on the show which and how the show made her character always equal to that of Van Dyke’s.) But Rose Marie’s character never

I loved her on the Dick Van Dyke show so I started following her on Twitter earlier this year and she was a great follow. She would post photos from her career and life, tell stories, wish everyone well, and generally act like the most interesting grandmother in the world.

Since I know a lot of readers enjoy the behind-the-scenes moments, here’s how this interview went down:

Elvis Costello is fucking amazing. His work with the Attractions is some of the best music if his era.

Now playing

I’d love to see Spectacle return at some point. I re-watch the late Jesse Winchester’s awe-inspiring performance on that show fairly regularly.

Yes, Will needs to learn that the ‘Dismiss’ button is the best feature of Kinja, and it is not used nearly enough by nearly enough people. Why bother arguing with a touchhole like that? Ignore, dismiss, or reply, ‘lighten up, francis.’ But do not actually engage when there is no value to be taken from the “discussion”.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH

Great interview-well researched as always and you clearly had a rapport with him.

I love Spectacle! “Maybe the time will come when we can do it again.” gives me more hope for the future than it should. I like part time talk shows. Kevin Smith’s Spoilers, The Chris Isaak Show...it is just refreshing seeing variations on the talk show format. It also helps that it isn’t just someone showing up to

I’m reading The Cider House Rules this month.

I’ve been rereading the Hungry Cities series by Philip Reeve after I noticed the first one by chance in a new library I’ve started going to. I read them as a child and remember enjoying them a lot, but if anything I think they’re even more fun for me now - the riproaring but surprisingly emotional plot, but also the

The garage was a great shock at the beginning of RE7:Biohazard - but hands down the most interesting level of that game was the Happy Birthday tape. In terms of game play ingenuity i’m still floored by it.

South park’s police station scene is one of the most f’d up hilarious levels I have ever played. So funny and so wrong on so many levels!!

That level in Edith Finch was so effective. I felt like I was really going crazy while playing it.

Glad there was a nod to Dishonored too. That series has had some of the best level design in any game. Dishonored 2's Clockwork Mansion and the time-jumping Stilton Mansion stages were masterful.

I wish I could play the new Wolfenstein games, but they give me such bad motion sickness that I wanna puke after 20 minutes of playing them.

I loved the challenge of Eventide, went there originally with only 3 heart containers (but a good deal of stamina), but it was much more manageable when I returned with a few more hearts and the bomb upgrade (the Hinox was the real part I struggled with, and I knew there were ways to avoid fighting it but I thought

This list is missing a healthy dose of Nier: Automata but the amount and breadth covered is indeed impressive.
