The new Layton definitely feels like a step down in crazy weirdness from the previous games. And the absence of puzzle-master Akira Tago (R.I.P.) definitely shows as well.

I’ll hold you to that deadline... oh wait, you said not to. Nevermind ;-)

Finally a place where I can start a ‘Tyrannosaur’ appreciation thread! Olivia Coleman and Peter Mullen are just fantastic in it. Such a hard hitting and fearless drama. Seek it out now that it’s off Netflix.

Olivia Coleman?!

She is just so fudging great, and judging by her exhaustive IMDB credits she’s the hardest workin’ woman in show business. I’m going to need to see Cuban Fury and Bad Sugar, because those titles are amaaaazing.

That’s a wordwang!

Olivia Colman is a treasure and this role is well deserved.

Just throwing this guess out there. You get a yoshi end game!!!!...??

Definitely Nintendo Power. They had a guide you could order. I even managed to memorize the patterns for the card matching game! Other than that you could talk to other kids, but I don’t remember learning much from them. I was odd one who was way too into video game without “Madden” in the title.

I like this lives update, picking up the coins where you died reminds me of a less extreme version of what Shovel Knight does

Ugh, I had to look that up after reading your comment... Wtf

Here’s the thing: this story keeps being associated with Haribo, when the fault lies with 2 other companies that happen to be a part of Haribo’s supply chain. Gelita is one of the largest gelatin suppliers in the world. They’re on a lot of companies’ supply chains, but only Haribo is getting mentioned by name because

Sorry, read that as

ummm ... uh ... maybe ok. Let’s be clear that the “... made with” statement isn’t like a special ingredient, right? We’re not talking soylent gummies, right??

I know, right? I read the headline and a second later, from across the room, I distinctly heard my wallet saying:

I was a bit older than you at that point, and remember that the one kid with a subscription to Nintendo Power would bring it to school, and we’d pass it around and try to memorize everything we could before we had to give it back.

I hadn’t been keeping my ear close enough to the ground to remember that this is coming out tomorrow even though I’ve been salivating for it since it was first announced (and bought a Switch finally a week ago because there was finally a playable demo of this). The point is today is going to be a VERY long day.

I got out a pen and paper when I encountered the Dueling Peaks shrines. It was really refreshing! My friend took a picture with his phone, which is really cool. I would never dream of using the share button. I forget about other people while I’m playing a game.

This game is gonna make me frustrated at my huge backlog. And the fact that I don’t have a Switch yet.
