From what I’ve read, I think Gaiman is considering his work on the Good Omens miniseries to be his tribute.

I don’t doubt that Terry Pratchett is pleased about this. And it was the right thing to do.

I don’t hate this idea.

Correct. The lyrics were usually done by whomever wrote the script. Although I seem to remember one of two writers who specialized in lyrics.

That one wasn’t Clausen. That was by Bryan Loren and some guy he knew named Michael Jackson.

That’s upsetting. It isn’t just the scoring, it’s also most of the original songs. I have the CDs of Songs in the Key of Springfield and Go Simpsonic and they still get regular play on my iPod. He’s going to be tough to replace.

I’m still reading The 42nd Parallel by Dos Passos and just ordered Robert Webb’s (Peep Show, other Mitchell and Webb projects) How Not to Be a Boy. I was going to order it anyway but the excerpt that was recently published moved it to high priority.

Oh, for Pete’s sake. He’s not a cartoon character. He’s a grown man who stood in front of the American people and consistantly and outrageously lied to them on behalf of a corrupt administration. He deserves nothing but disappointment in his life.

On the plus side, it doesn’t look like comments disappear into the ether when they reach a certain quantity. On the downside, there’s everything else.

Who still needs ungrayed? Maybe if there’s just one place to look, someone on staff can get on it.

Present, sir!

This was one of those things where both Griffin and her critics were being so stupid I had decided they cancelled each other out and we can pretend it never happened. I’m slightly resentful that this is news again.

Jell-O salad falls in the category of things I have a fond memory of and have absolutely no desire to ever make or eat again. Unless strawberry pretzel salad counts as Jell-O salad in which case I’ll eat it until I’m sick.

I’ve given up any expectation of Trump’s fellow Republicans doing the right thing. If his reaction to Charlottesville wasn’t enough for them to break away, I don’t know what will. It has become quite clear that their platform is anti-liberal more than pro-anything and it’s less about policies than pure tribalism.

I got it! It’s okay, we’ll make new memes. With hookers and blackjack!

You need to get the AV Club to follow you. I think I managed it from one of the video game posts since we know for certain the staff reads those comments.

I don’t remember ever actually eating there when we would convince our parents or grandparents to take us there. My recurring concern was the kid in the skeeball lane next to me taking my balls which seemed to happen every single time I played.

I just looked and it’s showing up that way as well. I think it’s affecting comments made before the switch so I’m assuming it’s part of the archiving process.

Might as well.

I feel unoriginal but Mt. Wario is the one that I always hope shows up when I’m playing. Yoshi’s Valley was my favorite on N64 (Wario Stadium was a close second when I was able to time the lightning bolt when other people were jumping over the gap). Waluigi Pinball was my favorite DS track and Music Park was favorite
