Nice to see Kelly Macdonald ranked so highly. I saw Tristram Shandy and State of Play fairly close to each other and have been a fan ever since. She's one of those people I'll listen to read anything.
An American in Paris has Oscar Levant so that's a plus for me. But I can see how it wouldn't everyone's cup of tea. The storyline isn't one of MGM's strongest.
I can't enjoy the unusually warm weather we're having in the 'Burgh because these kinds of sudden changes wreck havoc on my sinuses.
As a sarcastic brunette girl with glasses who grew up in the 90s, I have a fair amount of affection for her. That said, it's probably been about 10 years since I've seen anything of her's.
Have you seen the TV version?
There were a lot of things I didn't necessarily love about The Dark Tower (I'll always wonder what could have been if he hadn't rushed writing the last few books). However, overall, I loved the world he created and was one of the one who was satisfied by the ending. I would recommend reading The Wind Through the…
Oh, my mistake. I knew there was year he was nominated twice and for some reason I thought it was when he was nominated for Dick Tracy.
I unashamedly love all aspects of Al Pacino's acting and this is an incredibly fun performance by him. It is kind of weird that the article doesn't mention that he was also nominated that same year for Glengarry Glen Ross.
Is this your first time on the Internet?
BRITISH TV STUFF:
Still in the middle of A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry. I'm really enjoying it but I'll be happy when I get through everyone's backstories and we get more into how the main characters interact with the each other. I had planned to get a lot further this weekend but it was in the mid-sixties here in Pittsburgh and…
BRITISH PANEL SHOW:
She was only 36 when she did The Manchurian Candidate and played the mother of 33-year-old Laurence Harvey.
They've also had some silly, non-political things like Batiste's lecture on how to love and the kids' movie. And there have been some more non-actor guests like George Saunders (which was a wonderful conversation).
They put pretty much everyone on YouTube now.
BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:
I think most liberals already know what Milo represents and their protest is part of the action that has been galvanized. I saw Milo several times before he developed this persona and there was a time when he actually seemed interested in getting his point of view across. What he's doing now is political theatre and…
Joanna Page. She also starred in Gavin & Stacey so you can sort of blame her for helping with the rise of James Corden. (But don't because she actually seems really sweet in real life.)
I'm about as Anglophile as it gets but I haven't ever seen this all the way through and I'm not sure why. I know it tends to divide people but it's got an undeniably great cast and took the mocking of Ant and Dec across the pond so it can't be that bad.
