The Washington Post has an article about the bets being make on Trump's presidency in the UK. Ladbrokes currently has 1-1 odds on Trump being impeached: https://www.washingtonpost….

Not the most surprising news but still pleased to hear this. Cumberbatch is a big fan of McEwan's and it's also nice to see his production company doing well.

Given how completely devastated Colbert was on the live election night special, I think that's very unlikely.

This week's 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown was one of the best. Although watching it while eating was a mistake. Other than that, it was mainly Support grinding on Fire Emblem Fates and avoiding anything Trump related.

Based on the stories Helen and Andy have previously told about their parents, I would love a Zaltzman childhood episode of The Bugle. They could even record it in Andy's attic where Helen and Martin the Sound Man are currently living. It's already set up for recording Answer Me This.

I have this on order so good to hear it's a good one. (I've been holding my breath for the inevitable Saunders backlash but it looks like it's still postponed.) Right now I'm a quarter of the way through a A Fine Balance which is a fun read but is a long one and is likely to keep me occupied for a while.

By "workday", I assume they mean "life." Or "tiniest sense of hope about the future." Or "belief in the goodness of my fellow Americans."

It wouldn’t sway anyone who, say, loved Melissa McCarthy in The Boss and might not have known who Sean Spicer was, and it certainly won’t hit Trump as deeply as if someone he may know or respect would step into the Bannon role instead.

Anderson was on a lot during the first few years of QI but tonight will be his first time on since the "I" season. Before that, I only knew him from WLiiA and he is one of the reasons why I'm firmly on the UK side of the Whose Line debate. I've since seen him on a couple of panel shows and found him witty and also

It's Keeley Hawes's birthday? I was really impressed with her in The Hollow Crown, especially considering it was her first time doing Shakespeare on screen. But to me, she'll always be David Mitchell's dream wife (pre-Victoria): https://www.youtube.com/wat…

City Oven is my go-to place when I'm Downtown.

Just finished Console Wars by Blake Harris. It was a pretty quick and enjoyable read. I've already read several books about Nintendo so it was nice to something that was mainly Sega's point of view. But the fact that Harris focused on Tom Kalinske so much meant that we entered the story after the "Sega does what

Thanks for the link! It was nice seeing a bump of interest when the documentary came out a few years ago. Now would be another good time for people to discover him.

Billy Bragg did a great Radio 4 documentary about Phil Ochs. What I'm saying is, there damn well better be some Phil Ochs this week.

Why is a picture of BBC's iPlayer being used for a story about the FCC? I mean, I of all people know that it's possible to access iPlayer in the US if you really try. But it's kind of an odd choice.

I'm from Pittsburgh so I never knew 84 Lumber was considered obscure. Anyway, good for them for unambiguously showing a wall. We can only hope that since Trump seems to gets a lot of his information from TV, he'll expect all designs for the wall to include large, easy to open doors.

It's probably got one the of the strangest in hindsight casts. "Let's have James McAvoy have to choose between Rebecca Hall and Alice Eve. We'll have Benedict Cumberbatch play the super-awkward nerdy guy and Catherine Tate can play McAvoy's mother."
