What? Don't tell me the Daily Mail was wrong about something!

That's what I find so baffling. I don't expect Paul Ryan to do anything for moral reasons. But you'd think he would at least want to put himself in an advantageous political position. Instead he's supporting someone who has already energized the opposition and will likely destroy his party for a generation.

I kept trying to find a way to fit that in.

Do you think Conway and Co. have a sense that they're going to end up on the wrong side of history? The same with Paul Ryan and Congress. They can't possibly believe that the story of Trump's presidency is going to be a success so I'm wondering what it is that is overriding their sense of political self-preservation.

Well, I liked them which is why I went to the trouble of ordering them on physical media. But thanks for your input.

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

Happy Birthday Nathan Lane! Been a fan of his for over 20 years now. Can't wait to see how he does as Roy Cohn in the National Theatre's Angels in America (although still not sold on Russell Tovey as Joe).

Thank you!

I saw that yesterday and it made me smile (as so much of TMBG does anyway.) Wish they had gotten the whole song though.

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

Colman! (I've been pet peeving over how many misspellings of her name I've been seeing in the last 24 hours.)

This all feels redundant.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Kevin Kline was right there!

Too many junctions. You're losing your memory.

Woo! We're all going to the Honeybee Inn! And then we're going to spend way too much time at the Golden Saucer even though we're supposed to be finding a way to stop a meteor that's on its way to destroy the planet!

Flying mercenary high schools!

Aw dangit, you beat me to it.

Not too surprising. It's basically like Tennant deciding to leave when RTD left. I've been a fan of Capaldi for years before this and am looking forward to see what he does next. (Thick of It Brexit special maybe?)

This is pinging my bullshit detector. I think an actor turning down a role in a movie that surprisingly ends up being successful is too regular a occurrence for anyone to care.
