So happy to see Olivia Colman so high. It's been so gratifying to see her doing so well. I mainly spent this weekend following Twitter in a state of increasing horror. But I managed to get a few popculture things.

Let's not pretend that this isn't the kind of thing that would have appeared on The Colbert Report. There was always as much room for silliness as satire on that show.

I want to laugh but this feeds into my general anxieties about social media way too much. Why on earth would anyone remotely emotionally stable want this?

Speaking of Network, it was announced yesterday that Bryan Cranton will be playing Howard Beale in a National Theatre adaptation. The National Theatre is located in the UK but records a lot of its productions for movie theater showings (ie, the Cumberbatch/Miller Frankenstein).

Unfortunately, BBC documentaries rarely make it over here so some internet trickery will likely be needed. If you're on Twitter, you might ask terryandrob for certain. Maybe if they get enough interest, they can get one of the streaming or digital services to pick it up.
