That's a really good cast, but I'm not sure about Branagh as Poirot. Although it could just be because Suchet has made it impossible to see anyone else in the role.

That's funny, I just got my hands on a copy of the Merrily We Roll Along soundtrack with LMM and am particularly looking forward to hearing his version of "Franklin Shepard, Inc."

Here in Pittsburgh, we've got one bridge closed for repairs and another that caught on fire at the beginning of the month and only recently opened (for cars only, no buses or trucks). Add to that, the Roberto Clemente Bridge that always closes whenever there's a Pirates game. It's been a rough commute here for the

I genuinely would be interested in a recording of the stage version of The Lion King. But a filmed version of The Lion King without Nathan Lane is unnecessary.

I'm intrigued by the idea but not particularly impressed by the "Devil Wears Parada meets Broadcast News" combo. And I suppose Thompson isn't as well known for her screenwriting but she did win an Oscar for writing Sense & Sensibility.

Garland's A Star is Born was also hurt by the fact that Warner Bros. decided it was too long and made a bunch of cuts without Cukor's approval. There are some scenes that are lost forever and can only be recreated with still photos and sound (including one where Norman hears her singing on a commercial which seems

Raisin was also written about 25 years before Fences and it's pretty rare for any work from 1980's to have made it into the high school canon. Both also had a recent Broadway revival starring Denzel Washington.

It's ridiculous how long it's taken to adapt this. But it looks good. And it sounds good (August Wilson always wrote beautiful dialogue). I'm looking forward to this. And fingers crossed it means we'll see the rest of his work on screen.

Clarkson is pretty outspoken about being a Francophile.

Have you seen him in Twelfth Night yet?

Thank you. As someone within a few years of 33, the idea of marrying a 17-year-old is incomprehensible.

I looked to see if anyone had uploaded the whole thing somewhere but the best I could find was the introduction. It does you give an idea of the tone of the thing: https://vimeo.com/100791497

Didn't the youngest kid have some problems after the show? I remember some scandal where he got married very young to someone much older.

He used to be married to the daughter of the Frog and Toad stories. I think she was involved in the production as well.

BRITISH PANEL SHOWS:

I'm sure you've already seen things like Local Hero, Neverwhere and Fortysomething, but have you seen The Cricklewood Greats? It was a BBC mockumentary about a old British film studio which lets him do parodies of things like old monster movies and Carry On films.

Not much to say about the accusations themselves because right now all we know is what "sources say." I just wanted to know when the AV Club started citing and linking Fox News as a news source. (I'm already grumpily resigned to them using TMZ and The Daily Mail.)

The idea of a YouTube celebrity still sounds ridiculous to me but when I think about the kids I actually know, pretty much all of them have some YouTube channel I've never heard of that they're absolutely obsessed with.
