What amazed 20-something me was the discovery that Roger was also voiced by West.

I always end up watching a lot of the Olympics but I'll also end up doing my usual complaining that they don't show enough of the really interesting sports - ie, the indoor cycling where it looks like they're going to crash any second. Swimming is nice but there are only so many times I want to see someone going up

I always enjoy it when twins are on the list a) so I can see which one the public loves more and b) if there's a gap between them.

No mention of the film version of A Little Night Music? Actually, I would rather see someone take a proper try at filming that instead of Pacific Overtures which is too dependent on theatrical technique to really work as a film.

Yes, there's been a lot of online debate as to whether the dog is general talking dog or if Layton's daughter is the only one who can hear him talk. Of course, most of the online debate has been about who her mother might be. And whether Alfendi is still canon.

I'm between games at the moment but I wanted to pop in and talk about how excited I am by the announcement of a new Professor Layton sequel. It's called Lady Layton and the protagonist is Layton's daughter (her sidekick is apparently a talking dog). No sign of the regular characters but it mentions that Layton

I also used a download so I think it was the downloader that made the cuts (why, I don't know) rather than the BBC. But thank you for easing my mind on that.

It must be - the version I have is just under two hours. That's a relief. If they were unofficial cuts, I'm much less enraged.

By that logic, all Broadway shows would have that kind of buzz. And since Hamilton isn't likely to be filmed in full for a long time, it doesn't matter anyway.

That production of Gypsy is really good, especially Staunton (it also stars Lara Pulver and Peter Davison). But the recording inexplicably cuts most of the production numbers. And there are some really random decisions - they cut "Everything's Coming Up Roses" even though it's one of the show's most famous songs and

No mention of who is writing them. They can't all be just Charlton, can they?

I finally read that about a month ago. And Mr. Bennet was by far my favorite character.

Yes, it's kind of odd that the person calling it a meltdown seems to think that going to Cambridge meant that Webb came from a privileged background. Especially when I think that was when people were still able to go to university for free. I know Webb in particular is very proud that he able to get into Cambridge

He knows what he did.

I'm guessing it opened a bit more than a month ago since I got the DVD last month.

You could do worse. It's a catchy number.

For one of the comic numbers, maybe they could do something like Cole Porter's clown number from The Pirate.

They should have just had Brian Blessed sing everything. They already had him dubbing the Innkeeper's voice (for the song "The Dubbing/Knight of Woeful Countenance," oddly enough).

Wish they could have gotten someone for Man of La Mancha.

I just watched a BBC documentary about the people who dubbed singing and, of course, they talk about Nixon. I found a link on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/wat… (There some sections missing for some reason but it's overall really interesting.)
