They had resolved those issues and had the rights to air it. They just completely threw it away.

I wish QI have been given the chance to build an audience like Bake Off had. Instead we had BBC America air it in prime time for two weeks, burn off the rest of the episodes on a weekend timeslot and then give up on it altogether.
I like them both a lot but I'd give the advantage to Bake Off for Mel and Sue over Claudia Winkleman. I generally like Claudia but I feel like she works best when she had someone to play off of rather than her general wackiness.
I've tried to argue that you could figure out where Springfield is because it must be pretty close to North Haverbrook in order for Marge to be able to drive there and back in about a day.
I think that was about the time we first got ours. It was pretty big deal that required a full family outing. I didn't realize what were doing until we went to Phar-Mor and was told my brothers and I had to choose a movie to rent.
Ronson mentioned on Twitter that he was writing about the RNC that he was going to release a Kindle Single. I guess this is a preview. I had assumed it would be a followup to The Psychopath Test.
His options were to either not endorse Trump and get booed or say that he endorses the man who was telling people his dad helped kill JFK. I'm just enjoying the fact that he was put in that position in addition to the general enjoyment I get seeing someone on the receiving end of the hatred they've helped stoke.
S5 was when he was shot but it felt like almost every episode of S6 was about Georgia Rae and the coverup. Or it may have felt that way because it involved Falsone so much.
My memory of season 6 was that it became the Luther Mahoney show. Then again, I was also disappointed by the loss of Kay Howard and the addition of Paul Falsone.
A great episode.. Also notable because PBS did a behind the scenes documentary about this particular episode. I'm pretty sure it's on the DVD.
I jrecently discovered that Boomerang airs Dexter's Lab at night so I've been happily revisiting those. And missing Christine Cavanaugh all the more.
Me too. He got a really charming performance out of Pacino and the supporting cast was so enjoyable, especially Kate Nelligan.
I'm not terribly surprised that Trump would use "We Are the Champions" for his entrance music. I'm just surprised that he used it so early in the week. What's he going to use on Thursday?
He has both. I think Sting was given to him by Peter Jackson. I remember him having it when he interviewed Elijah Wood on the Report.
That's interesting. The twist is the reason I liked it although I could see why some people would consider it a cheat. I still would like to see someone try to adapt it properly. I think if they can figure out how to do it correctly, it would something refreshingly unique.
I finished Agatha Christie's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and really enjoyed it. I was going to look up the Suchet adaptation but it's apparently a terrible adaptation. I'm about to start Shakespeare and Modern Culture and I'm not sure what will come after. I may finally try to tackle Tristram Shandy.
This and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? were on at the same time. I think there was some overlap with Square One as well.
It started way back with Homicide (even though he had less of hand in that one). With today's nomination, Andre Braugher now has more Emmy nominations playing Holt than playing Pembleton.
Some pleasant surprises this year. For me, the most pleasant is seeing Olivia Colman nominated.
I recently finished Jon Ronson's So You've Been Publicly Shamed and have been turning it over in my mind for a while. I simultaneously feel that just shrugging and saying "What are you going to do? It's human nature" isn't enough but the fact is, this sort of behavior has always been part of human nature and that's…
