NBC cancelled Southland midway through the second season, but TNT bought the rights to the previously aired episodes (Seasons 1 and half of 2) and the rest of Season 2. They would renew the show 3 more times and reran the NBC episodes and their original episodes.
TNT saved the show after NBC killed it off and gave it four more seasons before ending the show in 2013. All seasons are on DVD in case you’re interested.

NBCSN did have "The Lights" where it was highlights narrated by an offscreen anchor. That show aired in the mornings, but went on permanent hiatus.
