That’s pretty much my stance. If someone is A) clinically insane and B) literally has no concept of right or wrong then it seems more fair to put them in a psych hospital for life than to execute them.

The criminal justice system is definitely not consistent with how laws are applied. It’s a constant battle to get equal justice for poor people who have to rely on public defenders.

If independent doctors really do diagnose him as mentally incompetent then I do think he should be spared the death penalty. We have to be consistent with how laws are applied, no matter how much we hate the person who carried out a horrific attack.

That’s how I feel. If someone committed multiple murders and there is literally 0% doubt that they did it then the death penalty is OK.
