I didn't really mind Aerie. Somehow it seemed brief and easy by the time I got there. It also meant that it wasn't very exciting either, but whatever. On the other hand, I absolutely hated, and I mean HAAAATED the Shrine of Amana.
And even when Telltale tries to do a character choice, the character you chose just ends up dying in the next episode anyway.
It’s nice to see consequences in you’ve made in later episodes. Unlike the mentioned Telltales, which tell a good story, but elements of game play are lacking.
Final Fantasy XV Years in Development
I’d be downright disappointed if they didn’t have some sort of turn-based combat system in this game. I’ve played through FFVI and Persona 4 recently and their battle systems imo still hold up. Not to mention, I’m already getting my action rpg fill from their other flagship games (FFXV, KH3, Nier 2).
