“The snitch is a ball attached to the waistband of the snitch runner, a neutral athlete in a yellow uniform who uses any means to avoid capture.”
This was not the first year for the new nominating system. Both EPH and 5-and-6 were first implemented at the 2017 Worldcon. And works have NEVER been eligible in multiple categories, that is not in any way a new thing.
Yeah, in what was overall a pretty good production, his performance was just hard to watch. He wasn’t even able to hit or sustain some of the powerful notes (especially noticeable in his performance of The Temple). And it seemed like he couldn’t figure out what to do with his hand for the entire time.
The rape crisis center I work at had our luncheon, our biggest fundraiser of the year today. This news broke literally as things wrapped up. Mira Sorvino actually came back onstage to announce it to the audience.
We’re all pretty happy here.
Yeah, but housekeeping would probably rather that not happen.
Uggghhhhh. Luckily, she’s not the only viable Democratic candidate. I’m really hoping we could flip our district this year. We had a Democrat win the 3rd as recently as 2008, and with anti-Trump backlash, it has a good chance of flipping.
So you’re not buying anyone gifts this holiday season, right? Or for their birthdays or any other special occasions.
This is the same issue that’s been hitting the Secret Service. Maybe the pay structure for the executive branch needs to be reworked, if this keeps happening across multiple agencies...
And that’s an incredibly inaccurate and out-of-date number - the 16 number hasn’t changed in a week. The number is definitely higher.
Nerdfighteria resident mathematician, Daniel Bliss?
That’s not what semantic satiation means. But whatever.
Yeah, the article really isn’t clear about what grants a police officer permission, and I’m not watching a 15+ min press conference video to try to find out.
I’m just thinking of all the hospital advocacy I’ve done with sexual assault victims, and trying to imagine how this policy would work in practice.
“Crowdpac calculates this score based on the average of all campaign contributions made by people with this name since 1980.”
Seems solid.
No, I really didn’t fuck up my reading of the comma. As is extraordinarily obvious from what I quoted and what I didn’t quote.
But, yeah, go ahead continuing to make this into a thing even though LPShea and I are obviously now chill with each other.
George does have friends in the “real world” who comment on blogs. I’m not going to straight-up tell anyone they’re not George’s friend, because they might be. And there are shitty people in the world who blab confidential information about their famous friends. You are apparently not one of them, which is good,…
I wasn’t at all confused about your use of commas. Instead, you seem to be confused about my use of quotes - I quoted “someone who knows,” not “someone who knows GRRM.” So....you’re basically willfully misinterpreting me, right? That’s the only explanation for your idiotic attempt to misdirect.
My original statement…
Pretty sure that if you were actually “someone who knows,” you wouldn’t be going around posting about your friend’s mental state in the comments of blog posts. So either you’re making shit up, or you’re a really shitty friend.
The best thing about Hallmark movies is the way the fanfic community has repurposed them. There’s an entire genre of fanfic that is, essentially “take the synopsis of a Hallmark movie, substitute your OTP for the main characters, and go.” Ridiculously fluffy fluff that is a pure joy to read.
Don’t dignify Scientology by calling it a religion. As Leah Remini points out, that’s what they want.
