Not only are they adapting existing characters, character traits, and personalities, but there were several attempts at scripting this movie previously, all of which helped to inform the direction of the version that was ultimately filmed. This was a film built upon the creative work of a number of earlier versions,

The only thing I can think of where one could be justified in at least pushing back on the changes is for people who are preparing the dishes then being told they (the one who is doing it in the original style/the way it is done there) are doing it “wrong”. The big example being carbonara where people want it with

“I’m not mad that they partnered with another manufacturer, but why BMW and not Lexus or even Honda?”

It’s always been absurd to me, the people who care so much about what foods other people are cooking, selling, and eating. You absolutely don’t have to like pineapple on pizza (though I do, very much), but it doesn’t stop being pizza or anything like that. Like, there’s no debate in my mind, just don’t eat it if you

Yeah, I liked Oppenheimer, and I really get the annoyance with CGI when it is about things like monsters, stunts, etc. But if there is one thing that CGI could help with it is big explosions. The explosion in the movie was underwhelming — not that it really mattered as the movie is more about Oppenheimer the person

I really like most of his movies but his commitment to unintelligible dialogue is fucking bizarre.

Unfortunately, his Peloton instructor couldn’t hear Nolan’s response because the background music drowned out his words.

No dipping in a fluid to soften them; that’s weak. Even the cream cheese is kinda lame, because it will lubricate the esophagus somewhat. Ideally, it would be unsliced, whole bagels. Let the contestant bite into or tear apart per their own strategy.

Hah! Good luck outdoing me, billionaires! My car is my house!

My workaround was waiting for the Carvana bankruptcy - and then squatting in a “vending machine” tower...

Every scene with him and Sissy Spacek in In the Bedroom was an acting masterclass on the screen. Still think that’s one of the best movies of the 2000s.

He was very memorable in most films, most of which sported quite impressive casts.

You played a 45 second ad before a 1:04 video and broke into a 1:04 video for a Walgreens ad. How fucking much money do you greedy fuckers need?

I think it’s very possible that he didn’t read the material but that he came on board aiming for “genre fare/high drama” just by nature of the production itself. I absolutely adore Alan Rickman and his Snape is fantastic (one of the greatest genre performances imho) but he is hitting broader notes than he does in 90%

I feel bad saying this because I’m a fan but his performance in Azkaban was relly over the top, bordering on hysterical and so was Thewlis’s. And ‘Potterheads’ may correct me but, as I recall, they were written that way. High drama, so it’s interesting that Oldman says he didn’t read the material.

He’s not saying it isn’t so, he’s just not saying.

I know, it was a really strange feeling, but as the years go on I feel like I’m not great at being American.

What? Too much cheese? That’s commie talk!

Don’t forget they also were unpaid (at least by McDonalds) to promote them.
