Voting against one’s own self-interest is a hallmark of the Trump/GOP base.

Too many times I’ve seen one troll’s thread get bumped to the top of the comments because well-intentioned commeters decided to dog pile onto the thread to call them out.
No, that’s just stupid. Make it easier to vote, sure. Pay them to vote?! I guess if you want an *actual* voter fraud epidemic, sure — pay people to vote. And if people are too lazy to vote when it only determines major healthcare, tax, spending, environmental and other policies, I don’t know if adding $50 to the mix…
That’s great. Then go find and post a graph showing the cost of voting in each state based on racial demographics, if that’s your point. It’s not my job to find the support for your argument. But let’s consider your argument. Your position is that there is a strong correlation between race and voting cost.
That graph doesn’t tell me the difference is white vs. non-white population; it tells me the difference is (with a few exceptions) GOP vs. Dem legislature.
Since we’ve had kids — and they’re too young to t-or-t on their own, we do the unattended-bowl thing as well. Last year we were coming home and I actually saw a kid on our porch trying to load up. I yelled out to him, telling him one piece only, and he freaked out, dumped what he’d taken and ran to the next house. It…
First they announce they won’t reimburse for meal expenses if those meals include red meat, poultry or pork, and now they’re cutting employees off at 48 oz of beer a day?!? So much for making America great again....
“Meat jelly” is a perfect description for it, and I can’t think of many appetizing uses for it other than as a spread on toast. I wouldn’t want to just eat it by the spoonful. I had it at St. John in London, where it’s served with a good quality toast, some fleur de sel and a nice parsley salad, and it was amazing.
Like many (most?) Christians, at least the ones I know.
Roasted bone marrow is delicious, though the texture can also be off-putting.
a raw witchetty grub in australia. i draw the line there. (ps, you have to put them in your mouth ass first or their mouth pinchers will grab your tongue.)
I think most colleges/universities have something similar. When I was in college 20+ years ago, I was on my university’s equivalent (can’t recall the name). Didn’t get to hear any juicy matters like this — usually it was cheating allegations, disputes among roommates that got out of control, etc. The ‘judges’ don’t…
The question, of course, is how many people who saw the first photo will see the debunker.
White nationalism has generally been on the decline, especially since the Democrats expunged most of it with the signing of the Civil Rights Act.
While I don’t agree with your analogy, I do agree that it doesn’t appear to be doxxing. All of the information was available to anyone who looked at the FB post and McCoy’s response. Bevin just amplified it, which is a risk of posting to social media. Nevertheless, Bevin is still an asshat who failed to learn that you…
Agreed that the bar for killing the Kavanaugh nom was high, and Avenatti knew (or should have known) that the bar was high. And yet, Avenatti boasted that he had the star witness to clear it (#basta). That’s the definition of overpromising and underdelivering.
“The Democratic party in 2016 proved that ... what they really want is a big strong white man to tuck them in at night.”
What power does he have, other than being able to appear on a cable news show? Frankly, I don’t see any.
You must not know many lawyers, because most lawyers are not opportunistic shitbags whose sole motivation is furthering their own brand.
For starters, his bombshell witness guaranteed to take down Kavanaugh. Not only was that a dud, but frankly it allowed the GOP to more easily dismiss Dr. Ford.
