Stay-at-home husband with no kids?!? WTF do you do all day, and how do you get away with it?? I’m not mad, I’m envious.

Same.

Spellcheck time: “steer” is both to guide and a male cow; ‘stear’/‘stearing’ are not words. As my father used to say, there’s mutton like proper spelling.

Yeah, this is called the water displacement method. Not as effective as vacuum sealing, but effective enough for sous vide cookery.

Yup. As a Buckeye alumnus and fan, I’ve been a fan for years. She and the other parents in this draft class have been some of the most ‘public’ sports parents and they’re all pretty great.

(*I do not want Veep to end)

Selina Kyle = character. She’s played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Too soon, man. Too. Soon.

And now we want him to come back and play a thing he (maybe) doesn’t even enjoy...

It calls for heavy cream — think it would work with half & half (not the fat-free kind)? We don’t have heavy cream in the fridge much, but we always have half & half. I’ve substituted half & half for heavy cream in other recipes without problem, but not sure if it would make a difference here.

As others have pointed out, in recipe-writing salt typically is not counted (or even listed) as an ingredient — likewise pepper and (sometimes) water.

You’re correct, the ‘someone’ was wrong — your male coworker damn sure was having a baby — and he still does (presumably) have one, though now it may be a toddler, or teen, etc. — he just wasn’t pregnant. I hate when people try to correct someone and are wrong in the process.....

“A married couple we know were having a baby and sent me and my wife...”

I’ve looked at my own microwave as well as the microwaves in condos I’ve rented on vacation (at least a half dozen total), and none of them included the wattage on the label. At best, I’d be able to pull the model number and google that to find the wattage. Why most microwaves don’t have wattage on the permanent label

Come on, both Olbermann and Johnson copied it from the original bridge-burner: George Costanza!

From what I’ve seen, the university has done fuck all to respond to this or any other sexual assault/rape charge “in a professional, timely manner”. This action was taken by the Waco PD. They may be as corrupt as the Tallahassee or Tuscaloosa PD, but they aren’t the university.

I stand corrected — apparently my spelling was off.

If UGA’s star QB is suspended indefinitely in October for “violation of team rules”, we won’t find out until after bowl season that he got caught dealing weed out of the back of the FB practice facility. That certainly would help keep the negative spotlight off the team during the season.

I’m sorry, but it’s “Go Dawgs!” (pronounced ‘Dowgs’, and if you can make it multi-syllabic, all the better). Please get it right in the future.

Did you even read what Diana wrote above?? The closest she gets to writing on guilt or innocence is this:
