It calls for heavy cream — think it would work with half & half (not the fat-free kind)? We don’t have heavy cream in the fridge much, but we always have half & half. I’ve substituted half & half for heavy cream in other recipes without problem, but not sure if it would make a difference here.

As others have pointed out, in recipe-writing salt typically is not counted (or even listed) as an ingredient — likewise pepper and (sometimes) water.

I’ve looked at my own microwave as well as the microwaves in condos I’ve rented on vacation (at least a half dozen total), and none of them included the wattage on the label. At best, I’d be able to pull the model number and google that to find the wattage. Why most microwaves don’t have wattage on the permanent label…
