Correct for 200 points. We also would have accepted:
IIRC, he first had a bench trial, and the judge found him guilty. Then, because of NC law, he could opt for a jury trial, which he did. The star witness was unavailable to testify (it being widely assumed Hardy paid Ms. Holder to disappear for a while), so the charges were dropped. Hardy later had the charges expunged…
Counterpoint: Idiocracy is actually a good movie, and that reviewer is wrong. Not as wrong as the moron who drove his Jeep into an F-18, mind you, but still wrong.
It isn’t a binary issue. Storing a supercar in a hermetically sealed garage is stupid, but so is driving a supercar in conditions only suitable for a 4WD Land Rover. There’s nothing wrong in calling out car owners who do either. You want appreciation for the car owners? Let’s see them run the cars on a track or speed…
Jeebus, he isn’t even subtle about it! Just, head down, scoop ball, jump 3 feet forward while remaining 1 foot off the ground, make contact with opponent’s body, cry like a bitch. Ridiculous.....
And the memory holes, in this instance, are the ears of his supporters.
This has been the rule in college football for a few years. Certainly someone has (or could) (but not me) run the numbers to see how kickoff returns have changed in CFB.
And what was Harbaugh during Tatgate? If Jimmy wants to bring up something from 5 years ago, it’s fair for the retort to be from 2 years ago. Or you could just say 42-13. I’m guessing that the marble tiles will last longer than the dishwasher, so you’ll be replacing those tiles someday. Or you could sell your house before the DW craps out and pass the problem along to someone else....
Criminal charges related to a breach of contract?! Never. It’s a contract, it isn’t a law. There are no criminal remedies for breach, only civil (a/k/a dolla, dolla bills, y’all!). Injunctive relief may be available, but that too is a civil remedy. No one is going to jail for hiding money from the NFLPA.
Counter-counterpoint:
Paw Patrol is AWFUL. And you forgot the worst part about the show — that even with the most mundane, simple “crisis”, one of the pups always fucks it up and makes the situation worse. Then, when the others have to do more work to bail his ass out, he learns his lesson, apologizes, and the others forgive him. And a…
Subtle but effective. +1
It’s Texas A&M University, not “Texas” a/k/a University of Texas at Austin (there is a significant difference, and confusing the two could get you in trouble in that state), and the annual royalty is $5,000. That’s so minuscule it might as well be zero.
