No “Millions” by Danny Boyle?
I love everything about that scene. Especially the fact that Vonnegut had enough of a sense of humor to play himself in a Rodney Dangerfield movie.
Andor is the best written Star Wars show or movie - it is also on the wrong network. The Disney + Star War fans mostly want a ‘memberberries version of Star Wars, so it didn’t get the attention it deserved.
Boobs and kitties.
That...is a great idea.
Casino is much better than people think.
As I understand it, it’s less about having a solid resume or not but more about just having any available jobs. Networks/streamers (specifically I’m thinking of WB and Netflix) are axing animated shows right and left these days, so you can have a great resume but that won’t matter because there’s nowhere hiring.
I liked that little moment when Joel was tapping Tess’s foot up and the look she gave him. Anna Torv was able to speak volumes with that look, more than a page of dialogue ever could
Yeah, it’s a dumb take on the gatekeeper part. Who cares where you discovered a band or artist? I wasn’t into big band jazz as a kid, but I discovered Buddy Rich when he was on the Muppet Show when I was 10. I picked up drumming after that and I was able to see him play live twice when I was a kid. That would’ve never…
I always preferred the Fun Boy Three version to the Go Gos one.
Last Jedi was my favorite thing from the Disney era of Star Wars, until Andor came along. I think we’ll see a Johnson trilogy, but not until the 30s.
If I remember correctly, this was from the 2017 Twin Peaks, which was great (IMO).
The Wire boxset is worth getting and every once in awhile Amazon has a deal on it. That’s where I grabbed mine.
So Greg is definitely in season 3, right? No way they’re going to let him ride into the sunset with Tanya’s money unpunished.
I agree. Diana pining after Steve Trevor (no pun intended) also didn’t make sense to me. She spent, what, 3 weeks with him in the first movie and was never able to process the loss after decades? She met no one that she felt any connection with in the mean time? It’s a super weird story angle to take.
Hell, they could’ve kept Pine. You can weave some pretty interesting stuff into a story if this guy who looks identical to her lost love suddenly appears in her life nearly a century later; you can touch on metaphysical concepts, what it means to love and to move on, the value of a memory and its place in our…
Aw man, I liked when he would pop in movies and shows. He was great in Choked and in Justified.
Ha! Well, when my grandfather moved to California, most people assumed that he was Mexican, but what are you gonna do? Honestly, none of this should matter.
Am I on the right internet with all this reasonableness or reasonability or whatever it is?
