Yeah, I wouldn’t say they’re “happy” being left alone. They are usually fine and end up sleeping most of the time anyway, but my cat would get upset with me if I left her alone too long and I would sometimes find her sleeping by the door when I came home.

If you want to play, the playerbase has migrated almost entirely to ET: Legacy, look it up and download that! It's an open source port, basically. Runs better on modern systems. And the populated servers without bots are all pretty much reliant on it.
