How could that be if Root was part of the show since season 1 episode 23?

Good time to stop watching, eh? I mean if you find it so frustrating, why keep watching? When a show makes me say 'I am so over it' that's a pretty good sign that maybe I should quit?

Yes. It's the first time anyone's called her that, actually.

More (less) scattered thoughts:

I forgot to say something.

I think the execution here was a bit messy. While I was glad to see Silva back, I thought maybe they could have saved this B-plot for another episode. Here we needed to learn more about this town and how Samaritan was manipulating its citizens, instead, we got all that was happening through an exposition line from

Jonah Nolan DID warn us about that at Comic-Con. He did say that they were working on a voice for Samaritan and that we probably weren't going to like it.

You know, I was FINE when the Root and Shaw thing was all playful and banter-y. I didn't need to be emotionally invested in it, I didn't need to feel pain, you fucking show. Especially because this show never handled romance well. Until now. It's been almost a week and I still cannot forget the look of total anguish

Whoa, hold it. First, Amy said she'd love to return and have some scenes with Clark Gregg. She never said, "I'd like to join Agents of SHIELD".

Heh. You probably should watch this show.

Who's to say Finch is the reliable narrator? I often wonder that myself.

Forgot.

I don't think the show ends here. I heard Nolan say that he might want to stop at 7.

The scene between Acker and the kid was incredible because of how the actors played it.

My goodness.

I see the show improved its demo ratings, but still hit lows in total viewers. Is that accurate?

But I do think Shaw feels something. Otherwise what would be the point of that angsty look after Finch told her that they must win the war at all costs? I just think that Root is in love with Shaw and Shaw's feelings aren't as strong. There's this fascinating ebb and flow their relationship has. Even taking the sexual

Yeah, yeah, that's my point. They're like siblings to me. Hence, the "Mayhem Twins" nickname from Root.

Someone suggested upthread that Shaw either has feelings for Reese or Finch.

Also, I must say, respectfully, that I disagree a little bit in that the show is straying too far from its sci-fi elements. I don't think it is, it's just pacing itself. I must say that the last two Brotherhood-centric episodes have given me hope and I actually think it might end up surpassing the HR-arc in quality.
