It looks like a Civic Type R that was dragged through every aisle of an AutoZone.

Counterpoint: No.

I’m curious how your insurance is cheaper. Mine went up a lot when I got an EV, and that seems to be the case generally for other EV owners. Probably has a lot to do with the extra tech and drivetrain that basically makes them a totaled car even in minor fender benders with much lower salvage value.

Not sure why you zeroed in on Crossovers though. Its not like its an exhaustive list of cars but if you open it up to sedans, you can get a model S performance which can do HYPERCAR levels of acceleration for under $35k. Theres 3 2019 Performance Model S’ for sale in the midwest for $35k or less. All have under 100k

Since 2025 is coming near, just get a Nissan Stagea WC34

That’s pretty much what my GX does. It’s my DD.

I had a 2020ish C-class diesel wagon on a trip to Portugal and it was the perfect family hauler with plenty of space for our luggage, great handling, plenty of power, and near 50 mpg fuel economy.

It may sound a bit odd to call a luxury car a beater truck, but I plan on keeping my 2014 X5 diesel as my “beater” for as long as I can keep it on the road without breaking the bank. It has 150K miles on the clock but is the perfect as a long-range family hauler (excellent fuel economy, driving position, and comfort),

Or buy a beater truck. i firmly believe everyone should have a beater truck.

Wouldn’t the logical jump be to a VW Golf SportWagen? That is the next bigger wagon after the Golf and the only one that VW made after the Jetta and Passat stopped doing wagon stuff. I believe they made them until 2019 and they came with a 1.4t and 6 speed manual.

The Buick is the only car from an automaker that I would trust for parts & service.

You do realize the Buick Envista is made in either Korea or China, right? Whereas Toyota, Honda, and Nissan have assembly plants in the U.S.

F that dumpster on wheels. Just ordered a 2025 R1T last week... can’t wait!

I ended up getting a Stinger, its not a V8 but I’m still loving it. Just gotta keep dreaming...

I have wanted a Pontiac G8 or a Chevy SS so bad, and every time I look they get more and more expensive. I was at a show this past week and their was a stock SS and it was getting so much attention.

I made many cross country road trips in my ‘87 Mustang GT in the 90s.  Very comfortable seats.   But I was in my 20s then, in my 50s now I prefer a quieter, more comfortable ride (Cadillac CT6 is my current road trip car).

I’ve gone cross-country in a 1975 Thunderbird, a 2003 Ram 1500, a 1983 Pontiac Bonneville wagon, a Ford Econoline van, a Chevy Beauville van, multiple generations of Suburban, and a 2010 Mustang GT.

Why actually put forth the effort to make a concise, readable article that only takes one click to access when you could crowdsource the content and turn it into 15+ clicks? Lazy journalism. Torch would never!

Although I drove from Pittsburgh PA to Portland OR 8 years ago in a 2008 Ford Escape (which was fine; got great mileage on the long highways out west, had room for stuff, could fold the seats down and take a nap if needed), I had more fun in my 89 Mustang GT convertible 25 years ago driving solo from Pittsburgh to

Lotus Carlton, the end.
