Wasn’t it only yesterday when Colin was cut and pasting Consumer Reports article that Mach-Es were going for OVER MSRP and therefore a poor deal?
I hated owning a car with 18" tires. I think 20" is enough for large vehicles. Adding inches to your wheel size doesn’t add inches to your....nevermind.
17" is the sweet spot for me if your car (brakes) allows for it. 16" for 90s cars. 15" for 80s cars
Hot take, anything over 18" is too much.
LOL... how do you feel today, if you bought one of these last Thursday?
So here we are in 2024, after decades of Kaizen being taught in business schools because it clearly worked in revolutionizing manufacturing - and Ford is still resorting to beating people with the metrics stick and harping on “incentives”. I share your surprise at just how clueless one can be and still make millions…
“One way Ford is working to fix quality issues, Farley said, is by tying employee bonuses to improved scores.”

Our 2018 Ford Expedition transmission grenaded itself at 70k miles. It sat in a shop for 3 MONTHS while the techs had to go through an approved repair process directly from Ford. They and I both knew it needed a completely new transmission but corporate demanded they follow the instructions of an engineer who walked…
Ford - this is the year we finally fix our shit quality!
“ How much of that 30K bill do you honestly think is dealer markup”
Battery warranties are a minimum of 8 years, and many manufacturers provide 10 years. That means there is almost no market for out of warranty battery repairs yet. Add to that the number of EVs sold 10 years ago was miniscule relative to the number of cars on the market, there was no standardization (even within…
The market will provide them as demand comes. I can get a bunch of different brand laptop batteries for my 8 year old MacBook. Same idea.
