Similar situation as with Daryl. Wife insisted on getting a PT Cruiser. She gets mad because I don’t have the time or patience to diagnose the problems with that car (stutters/near-stalls when ac comes on, horrible fuel economy, wonky shifter/ignition interlock, PITA to work on anything under the hood). I tried to get

No one bought them then, and too few would buy it now. If they thought they could exploit the F-150 “platform” with a profitable 2 door SUV they would have. But they know what sells, and a new Bronco will be a body-on-frame 4-door “crossover”. Soft enough for mall duty but with the looks and enough off-road-ability to

Use to live near that area years ago. I agree, you would be flattened quickly.

Not sure about maintenance cost. Other than fluid/filter an auto would be less expensive with upkeep barring abuse. Clutches aren’t exactly cheap either. Seems fuel economy is better with autos these days too (and has been for some time).

Love the 94-96 SS. And those are some WIDE tires in the back. Back to the /s

If they could just be more reliable on average. And optional smaller diameter wheels on the JCW version please. 17's would be fine by me.

They also make more money from a higher percentage of retail sales versus fleet sales. They know their business.

.

Wife just asked me the same thing :)

Doesn’t always work that way. I have “once removed” cousins that are my age.

Love the look of that car. Seem hard to find these days (apparently for a reason...).

Doubt they will reduce the price on those types of cars. More likely they will re-de-content the Jetta and Golf in the lower trims imo. Maybe they will get the crappy old VW dealer (as opposed to the not-yet-established if crappy or not newer VW dealer) in west Texas to lower their outrageous prices.

Ha, ok. I am tired. Only excuse I have. Apologies

Nice car, but do we need links to SIX other Cadillac articles within this one?

That’s what they traded for the car...

Was in the process of posting the same pic! Have a star.

\m/\m/ Unfortunately I only have one star.

Wife’s car is an 06 PT Cruiser. I have grown to hate it for a few reasons: Gas mileage is horrendous (my 01 V8 Tundra gets better mileage). Engine compartment is a PITA as far as getting to anything. It has 33k miles on it and the paint has looked terrible for a few years due to paint fade in certain areas. It has

I think they are intentionally moving away from fleet sales to focus on more profitable retail sales.

Chevy and GMC combined do very well. I don't think they "need' to do anything. That being said I think they will move to aluminum bodies fairly soon, and maybe a turbo V6.
