Look around some. Supercrews start around 25k for an XL. You are bound to find an XLT regular cab for about the same, but you may have to fly to go get it.

+1 If you look hard enough on the auto search websites you can find F-150 Supercrews with cloth seats, V8 motor, and a few other nice options for less than 28k. Less than 25k if you want the base motor. That is only a few grand more than a Tacoma double cab with an I4.

I don’t get the idea of adding turbos to a supercharged motor. Wouldn’t it be more effective to tune or whatever the existing motor?

I think the ecoboost motors are really designed to do well on the EPA tests, and provide nice power in real world conditions.

I remember looking at a new GMC 1500 probably twenty years ago, and the salesperson told me that the GMC had a thicker frame than a Chevy. The stuff they try to get you to believe.

Dead deal now. I got one at $160. Just in time to do a fresh install of the Win10 public preview prior to the 29th. Moving from a 120GB too. These fill up fast.

Because they have the reality of wages that have haven’t changed much from the 90’s

That second one is awesome!

If you don’t mind driving halfway across the country you can pick up a sport for around 24k. Add 3k for the base “freedom top” or whatever they call it. There is a dealer maybe 45 minutes from me that had them for 29k with the hard top. Amazing what these go for new and used. Makes me want to cry.

If you look a little on the nationwide new car listings you can find these in the 28k range I think. Tempting. I seem to have an un-natural attraction to FCA stuff lately. Hope the doc has a pill for that...

I may be going against the grain here, but I like it. I liked the previous one as well. May have to put this on “the list” if they keep improving their quality.

Too much wheel or too little tire sidewall for me, but I mostly like it. Especially the diesel :)

My wife had a 96 base Talon with the Chrysler motor. Tried to change the timing belt once. My Dad and I didn’t have the means to pull the motor out so we tried like heck to just get the cover off. Couldn’t get it. Still frustrates me. Not a bad car, but would have loved an AWD turbo.

Skipped most of the argument. Very nice truck. +1

Hard to recruit and hire Drivers. The starting wage for non substitute drivers is almost double minimum wage, but it isn’t a 40 hr per week job to start off with. That and there aren’t always enough summer school programs to put everyone to work, so many have an extended period without work. Even considering the

Well all I can suggest for the first point is coffee, for the second... I don’t think we can use duct tape or ritalin. Maybe talk to the students every once and a while. Engage them. Seems to work some here.

I didn’t say we have no idea if it is any safer. I just said they don’t have air bags, and might not have seat belts (they are designed with the idea of compartmentalization applied). Statistically speaking school buses in general are among the safest vehicles on the road. Combine that with more strict licensing

School buses have to conform to an entirely unique set of standards in the US as compared to other vehicles. I doubt it has any air bags, and might not have passenger seat belts depending on who ordered it and for what type of program. No idea if they go through crash testing or not. Maybe, but it might be a

Kind of what it use to be..
