Sports Night? Huge nerd? You're among friends, Formal Batman!

Since you enjoyed Going Clear, I'd recommend reading Jon Krakauer's Under the Banner of Heaven, another shocking tale of a uniquely-American religion.

"Do you think a space-age dame like her would ever marry a two-bit, low-life delivery boy like me and also I have bad posture and severe financial problems?"

Deal!

Well, between your cryptic sobs and my love of the space program, I think I'll have to give it a watch.

Hooray, Spicy! Glad to hear things are looking up.

Happiest of birthdays, Lieutenant!

I've been meaning to watch that for ten years! It's that good? I might need to bump it to the top of the Netflix queue.

The shot of Ed Harris with tears in his eyes.

GAHHHH if I were a Carcharodon carcharias  I would jump onto the back of your boat and ruin your day!

Nah, I don't think you'd need to wait, because unlike with GRRM, we all know how LBJ's story ends, so I'm not feeling that sort of frustration. And I think I'll actually enjoy the anticipation!

Having just finished up the four published volumes of Robert Caro's The Years of Lyndon Johnson, I'm now figuring out what to read next. Frankly, I feel very empty without more Lyndon in my life. I miss him already.

This might sound rather odd, but listening to the soundtrack to The Land Before Time kind of chokes me up. There's something really emotional about Horner's score, plus my memories of watching the movie as a kid.

I've never cried during it, but I think Backdraft is quite a good movie! It doesn't get mentioned much 'round these parts.

Yes, Philadelphia, absolutely.

With billboards like that, it'll be hard for Time Warner to unseat Scott Walker next year.

Awww, I'm sure the little fella will walk it off! No need to feel bad, Bandy!

I'M SO EXCITED THREAD

Anything he did with the Coen Brothers is top-notch, but I think even films less noted for their cinematography like The Shawshank Redemption and Doubt benefited greatly from his lensing. He just has a way of capturing the richness of drab colors that gets me every time.

Rolls-Royce Phantom II. 4.3 liter, 30 horsepower, six-cylinder engine, with Stromberg downdraft carburetor, can go from 0 to 100 kilometers an hour in 12.5 seconds. And I even liked the color.
