My dad bought a brand new ‘86 Accord LXi (power everything, moonroof, PGM-FI [fuel injection], AND a 5-speed stick) and it lasted for 750,000 original miles, handled great right to the end, was ergonomically ahead of its time, was very well built and always fun to drive, and was exponentially better looking

This! I also find it funny that the same people who make fun of non-enthusiasts for buying new are the same people who wonder why nobody is buying new cars with manuals (so they get discontinued). If you want to save the manuals, actually do your part and buy one new so manufacturers have the incentive to keep making

My i3 has them, its quite cool, and does make it super easy to get into that back seat, except that you have to wait for the front doors to open first.
