Never assume. The victim was actually from a wealthy family, but he wasn’t. He was at St. Paul’s on a full ride, had the same thing going for Harvard, and his parents needed a fundraiser to pay for his legal counsel. He was apparently popular as hell in school, but not rich.

Still, the judge said he had repeatedly violated his parole over the last 5 months, and only now, when someone made it public on Twitter, is he being held accountable. So if this woman hadn’t tweeted their entire conversation, he’s still probably wouldn’t be in jail?

Well, isn’t that nice. I appreciate your love, kind stranger.

#JEZEBELJUSTICE

I can just picture lil’Labrie crying, his delicious tears dripping; he’s only sad because he was caught.

Definitely a better judge. Hopefully the affluenza crap is over now that the world knows about it. Fingers crossed.

I think it is less Boston, and more a circumstance of a Judge who was completely and utterly not fooled by his schtick during the underlying trial, who had no sympathy for him whatsoever. I think he actually called him a liar during the sentencing portion of the proceedings.

So interesting, looking at the difference between how this guy was treated — you violated your parole, you’re going to jail — versus Mr. Ethan “Affluenza” Couch. Maybe it’s a New England thing. We’re not super-tolerant of B.S. here. Good to see!

He's the sociopath. They believe all his false charm, and his woe is me victim stories. In a way they are victims too...and then, people who believe in and support a sociopath often turn nasty, vicious and smug towards those who see through the charade. It's a weird dynamic. Been there.

The Teflon attitude is typical of narcissists and sociopaths. Where most people would pause and think, they are so arrogant and think very little of everyone else...they do absolutely blatant things that are unbelievable. And then lie again. The concept of "oops" or "my bad" is not part of their makeup.

Affluenza striketh again.

not a trial. a hearing. different. there isnt the same process once youve already been convicted

Even worse than stupid, he’s arrogant and egotistical. Even after being convicted he STILL thought he couldn’t be stopped. He’ll probably never learn.

He is a white man. When will white men ever get a break?

But how could this happen to meeeeeeeee?!?!?!

Asshole be stupid. Good for the judge. He should have paid attention to the terms of bail, which everyone knows anyway. You can’t leave. Period.

BUT HE’S WHITE! THE CONSTITUTION SAYS PRISON IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT FOR PEOPLE LIKE HIM!

Labrie’s and his mother were crying as he was led away in handcuffs.
