I think they're missing the point. Next they're gonna petition Game of Thrones for making incest so hot.
I’d be fine with this if they called it “Treason, Racism, White Supremacy, Slavery, and Terrorism Remembrance Month”
They should really rename it 6 Dozen Moms. That would probably be more accurate.
Surely these One Million Morons could find something more fruitful to get their pantaloons in a twist over. I mean, have they even watched this show? This dude is neither cool nor irresistible. (I only watched one or two episodes — maybe it got better? Or worse in a more compelling/interesting way?)
Yas! We can re-enact the defeat, and drive convoys through the south blaring Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Lucy, i mean Tom Ellis can step by my place at any time
It also shows what they want this country to be: great for some, HORRIBLE for others. But as long as they’re happy...
I wasn’t aware that 4 years of being in open rebellion entitled you to a “heritage” at all. Anyone would think the Confederacy was around for a hundred years the way people bleat on about all the “history” and “culture” it has.
Maybe May could be “Union Month” where we all collectively remind the south that they're being HUGE dicks again.
It's about celebrating racism in a sad attempt to be sneaky.
Somehow I get the feeling that if we tried to celebrate this month by talking about slavery, racism, Jim Crow laws, etc., we’d be run out of the state.
Why not just call it what it is: Vote Trump Month
It’s ok. I starred both your responses.
That's pretty transparently what this proclamation is about, too: white supremacy. They won't use those words, but that doesn't change what it is.
White supremacists should be offended too, if they consider themselves to be patriotic. The Confederacy seceded from their beloved country that gives them the 1st and 2nd Amendments that are their lifeblood, and then fought a war against that country they feel so patriotic about.
So this is about ...what?...heritage?...patriotism? Because after all, what's more patriotic than secession on the basis of white supremacy? Yes, I said WHITE SUPREMACY. You can't ignore the truth forever.
